Scion

Early History

What happens when the world's greatest cat burglar and the scariest man alive have a kid? Scion could tell you, but he'd rather show you. His father was billionaire industrialist Alex Scott, who also happened to be a superhero named the Dark Watchman, protector of Kansas City, a job he did quite effectively by instilling a true sense of fear in the criminal elements of his city. His mother, a world renowned thief known only as Chartreux(after a french breed of feline), had stolen from nearly everyone who was worth stealing from. When she set her sights on a ruby owned by Jackson's father, she set herself up as a new money socialite, new to the city. Sparks flew as soon as his parents met, and shortly after his mother did get the ruby, as a wedding present. With their other lives revealed to each other the Chartreux began a new career, as the heroic partner of the Dark Watchman. A year later Jackson was born, and as soon as he began walking he began to learn the "family business" as his mother called it. Growing up without a care, and in a city where supercrime was virtually non existant(the Star always said that Jackson's parents were the reason that the kinds of crime that permeated Paragon, and New York never touched Kansas City), Jackson saw first hand the difference that a small group of people could make. It was a lesson he carries with him to this day.

The Rikti War

With the arrival of adulthood came the responsibility not only within Scott Enterprises, the family owned technologies firm, but also as a costumed vigilante. Taking on the name of Scion, Jackson had barely been registered for a year when the Rikti war changed everything.

From out of nowhere they attacked, and his parents fought them, he fought them. For months they fought, with little sleep, and little care for the injuries they sustained, they pushed them back as best they could. Others heroes joined them and for the first time Jackson met and fought side by side with his parent’s allies. Then, the plan to save us all was conceived, and his parents were called to Paragon be part of the Alpha team offensive. Far as Jackson can tell, his father pulled some strings with Statesman and had Jackson kept out of it.

He doesn’t know what to feel about it now. His parents died giving Omega team time to do their job.

With his father’s city in capable hands he has come to Paragon, the place where his parents died to try and make peace with their legacy.
