Interview
Name : Rosa Gonzalez
Origin : Well… that’s a very long story. How can I shorten this for you? A dead girl who was actually me from another dimension came to me died for a second time in my arms and I got most of her memories and some of her magic powers. Then the world changed and suddenly my family is alive, I’m working for the PPD and no one else remembers how things used to be.
Supergroup : I have yet to find anyone who I get along with that well.
Former Job : I used to work for the Praetorian Police Department.
Base of Operations : I’m using a warehouse in Skyway as a place to stay until I get used to this new world.
Hero or Villain : Your world has no idea of what good and evil really is. But neither did mine. I shoot bad people dead. If that’s what you think of as a villain, then that’s what you can call me.
Brief Physical Description : The only weird thing about me is my eyes are purple and they go all black and creepy when I draw down the Dark. Otherwise, I’m an about five nothing, skinny, redhead. Not many of those in my family.
Brief Personality Description : I’ve been told I am a driven woman. I have no answer for that. I have seen a far worse world than most Praetorians and sometimes I really wanna kick the crap out of some of the more whiny ones I’ve run across.
Goals and Motives : I’m settling for trying to make the world a better place. The place where I come from is better off never coming back. Would I like to see Cole destroyed? Yes. Of course. But I don’t feel any better about Calvin Scott. As long as the Resistance condones blowing up hospitals, abusing drugs and murdering civilians then I am not their friend.
Opinions on Important Factions : The Praetorian Guard and the Resistance are two pages from the same book in my opinion. The only thing that makes the Praetorian’s better is they are not hypocritical about it. Your world’s leaders and organizations have not really impressed me so far, but I’m not much of a joiner.
Quote : You think this is bad?
Claim to Fame : I’m famous. No. Really. Read about it.

History
Which one do you want? The dead girl from here? The girl I used to be before the world changed? How many different histories can one person have? Let’s give this a go…
In your world there was a young girl who was my dimensional counterpart. On a field trip to a museum she let some of the other kids dare her into touching this weird object from a place called The Shadow Shard. It killed her. Three hours later she got up off the table in the morgue with blue skin, purple glowing eyes and the ability to call up all sorts of creepy dark powers. She became a hero. She joined Longbow. She discovered she was slowly rotting away and going to eventually crumble into dust.
Praetorian Earth, as you call it, had only recently been encountered. It’s evil and bad and everyone here hates it. How bad is it? We will get to that. So anyways, it’s bad and evil and everyone here wants to destroy it. Everyone there is too afraid to do anything about it. So you people send invaders in to take out the trash. But what you really need is someone in Praetorian Earth to stand up for themselves. The few who do are quickly hunted down and killed. So the dead girl comes over to my world with the express purpose of finding me because some brainiac thinks she can transfer her powers over to my body and that would make someone native to Pretoria with an allegiance to your Earth. And it worked.
So there I was, present at her execution. I got to meet the Tyrant. Remember I said I would tell you how evil my world was? It’s time. Tyrant sat on a throne of human skulls in a hall lit by lava pools. His sycophants were barely restrained from eating me alive as part of the festivities. The only reason I survived was that Tyrant wanted someone to go out and tell all the terrified civilians of his power and invulnerability in the face of these invaders from another universe and that no one could stand against him.
But he was wrong. My hair turned blue, my eyes turned purple and I had the dead girl’s powers. Sort of. I became a hero. I helped found the damn Resistance in my world. We struggled against Tyrant, we fought and I won’t say that civilian casualties and collateral damage never occurred. We did our best to minimize them. It wasn’t easy, and good friends and even lovers were lost, but we pushed on. I sacrificed. I made peace with the woman who killed my father, Bobcat, and convinced her to join our cause. And on the night before our last big push, when we had either killed or converted almost every member of his Guard, something happened. I do not know what.
I woke up in a Praetorian hospital. My family was alive. I was a recruit in the PPD. I was ten years younger. My hair was no longer blue. I had fewer of the dead girl’s powers. Her memories are more distant, but still there. Sometimes they are more real than my memories of where I came from. I worked with the PPD for a few months, getting my bearings and trying to find anyone who remembered the world as I did. I’ve only found one so far, and she’s a crazy bitch who wants to make everything back like it used to be.
You people don't know how lucky you are. I come from a place where Cole isn't just a tyrannical megalomaniac; he's a psychotic sociopath. Your Emperor wants to control everything and is willing to mentally enslave a society in order to have peace and security. Tyrant is like 'bring me that baby I'm hungry' crazy and was willing to nuke a city just because he liked the color it glowed for the next ten years. I’m willing to help overthrow Emperor Cole, but if tell me you are going to go back in time and 'fix things' I will shoot you in the face.

Scorpio Rose is a character that has been through a lot of changes. Initially going to be a place holder for a Warshade, she was a Dark Dark Defender. When it turned out I didn’t like Warshades that much, she sort of languished in limbo for quite some time. This was when ‘Rose in Bloom’ story was submitted for the City of Heroes comic book. When Going Rogue was released I revamped her several times and have settled on a Pistols/Darkness Corruptor but I do not promise I won’t change her again.
She comes from the Original Praetorian Universe. The one that is a complete mirror image of Paragon City. The Universe where Nightstar roams the rooftops of King’s Row summoning weird and deadly shadow creatures and ShadowHunter rules Perez Park, killing and feeding his pack on anyone foolish enough to enter. The Pretoria as it existed before anyone thought of all this ‘Going Rogue’ stuff.
Rose has other Dimensional Emanations detectable by those with the proper senses; stronger when she uses Darkness powers. If someone can sense such things, she reads as being from both Prime Earth and Pretoria.
