Becoming SRG-1

Early Modifications

Android Edited.jpg

From almost the moment Sergei's systems came online, she began to update and re-update her programming. While many of the early adjustments were subtle increases in efficiency, she steadily built herself into a marvel of engineering to rival the constructs of Crey Industries. As her skills progressed, she and her father began integrating more advanced technologies into her chassis, the end result being a fully-sentient Android capable of fulfilling a variety of roles.

Ghost Artificial Intelligence Core

Originally developed by Crey Industries, Sergei has modified her AI Core significantly. Designated the "Ghost" Module, it governs her logic, functions, protocols, and a number of critical systems. Capable of several million calculations per second, it effectively keeps her up-to-date on her situational awareness, target acquisition, and other vital tasks. It should be noted that her Artificial Intelligence Core is unable to function without her Hard Drive, and vice versa.

Ghost 60TB Hard Drive

Building on original technologies provided by Crey Industries, Sergei's Hard Drive works in combination with her AI Core as a theoretical Quantum Differential and Superposition Drive. With its extensive storage capacity, it is estimated to store one millennium's worth of memories and base programming, in addition to influencing her emotions. As perhaps an unintended side-effect, a "spark" akin to a soul has been detected here.

Portacio Industry's LS-3100 Dual-shaft Gas Turbine

Android.jpg

Developed by her father for use in medium-scale bases, a custom-built version of the LS-3100 Dual-shaft Gas Turbine now serves as Sergei's main power source. Although much more compact than the original model, it nonetheless provides the same electrical output, providing enough power to supply all of her internal and external functions. In particular, the LS-3100 provides the electromagnetic pulses generated by her chassis, which serve a number of roles, from personal defense to fine mechanical work.

Custom-built Emergency Capacitors

In the event her main power source should fail unexpectedly, Sergei has installed a series of custom-built Emergency Capacitors into her frame. These batteries provide enough energy to support most critical systems for a limited period of time, without risking serious damage to her internal programming. However, should the capacitors also become damaged, a rumored "Overload" protocol can quickly drain remaining reserves in an attempt to positively influence the current situation.

Custom-built Internal Safeguards

Contained within her programming are a number of safeguards and counter-measures designed to protect against everything from hacking to malicious software. A network of positronic mesh acts as her central nervous system, giving her additional protection from viruses, and handling the exchange of information to the rest of her body.

Additional Modifications

Following her original modifications, Sergei began drafting plans for integrating systems into her frame in order to combat the growing Rikti threat. With additional funding from the newly-formed Vanguard, and using a number of her father's patented-products, she has transformed herself into a so-called "Ghost" Unit.

Integrated LCD Chassis Coating

Painted onto Sergei's chassis are several layers of nanobot laced LCD coating, providing her with an intelligent camouflage that reacts to differences in lighting and the environment. External running lights also become dim in this state, reducing the chance of her being seen by the naked eye in low-light. The end result is a semi-transparent state that allows her to travel unnoticed, while still allowing her to select her targets at will.

Integrated Modular Spacefolders

Contained within Sergei's abdominal panel are two miniature Modular Spacefolders, which allow her to locally "fold" the space around her, and transport to another predetermined location. While one cannot fold space on its own, working in tandem the spacefolders achieve a kind of leapfrogging system around one another. While not suitable for long-distance travel, they provide a convenient way to travel across difficult terrain in a short period of time.

Portacio Industry's Internal Munitions

Built into Sergei's right arm are a number of interchangeable weapons systems designed to give her the edge in any situation. Her standard set-up includes an electromagnetic pulse generator capable of delivering a massive in-close application of energy to a targeted area. It is effective against both organics and enemy robots, compromising nervous systems and circuitry alike.

A second set-up allows for medium-to-long ranged electromagnetic pulses delivered via cannon. Designated as the Medium Automatic Dual Pulse Gun, this cannon is a low-recoil, high-rate-of-fire delivery system constructed of high density alloys, capable of launching a concentrated beam of energy a distance of up to 800 yards. Dual chambers combine power generated by her custom-built LS-3100 Dual-shaft Gas Turbine with a magnetic field, producing a weapon capable of disabling targets at a condiderable distance.

Portacio Industry's Subdermal Plating

Portacio Industry's Subdermal Plating is a multi-layered, many-faceted armor system designed to protect against damage that penetrates the external armor. Comprised of high-hardness steel over a layer of ceramic armor, with two additional layers of steel beneath, it protects Sergei's internal circuitry and critical systems against most attacks. In addition to her armored skin, her chassis is made of di-impervium, a compound made by fusing impervium to itself on a molecular level. This provides her with a very strong frame, capable of withstanding tremendous impact forces.

Portacio Industry's Synapse Bridge

Created by her father, Portacio Industry's Synapse Bridge is purpose-built to increase the abilities of Sergei's on-board defenses. When one system incurs damage, the network of electrical synapses transmit signals to various parts of her frame, bolstering overall performance. While not perfect by any means, this is generally enough to spare critical systems from serious damage not prevented by her Subdermal Plating or external armors.

Portacio Industry's Nanodoctors

Sergei's internal components constantly update and self-repair, thanks in part to Portacio Industry's "Nanodoctors." These "Nanodoctors" are composed of billions of intelligent nanobots seek out and repair any damage found within her critical and auxiliary systems. Contained within larger blisters underneath her Subdermal Plating, higher doses of these nanobots can be quickly dispersed to targeted areas, providing instantaneous repair. These blisters must occasionally be replaced through intraport injections.

The Mission

Spoiler warning: Details about a player-created storyline, or information currently unrevealed about a character, follow.

The mission was deceptively simple; Sergei and the rest of the team, codenamed Vanguard One, would act as an advance boarding party for Omega Team, and secure a position on the surface of the Rikti Homeworld. Of course, it was infinitely more difficult, and a guaranteed suicide mission. But then again, it hadn't been the first suicide mission she'd been assigned to, nor would it likely be the last. And with that in mind, she signed her life away on the dotted line--as did everyone else in the room.

Vanguard One would have 24 hours to prepare, before insertion into the tenuous portal between the worlds. They would be free to write letters home, if they so chose, which most of them chose to. In an equally dark room towards the rear of the Compound, Vanguard One and the Omega Team met for the first (and possibly last) time. The moment was oddly uneventful, as each side shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. For having nearly 60 people in the room, one could have heard a pin drop...

CreyIcon1.jpg

While working on several projects for school, Sergei was approached by representatives of Crey Industries. They offered her funding in return for her technological input on developing projects, a deal she was reluctant to accept but hard-pressed to refuse. Entering into a two-year contract, she helped to develop and produce components for their recent line of Power Armors, in addition to several experimental technologies. However, she found herself receiving diminishing returns on her work, and soon sought a way to part ways with Crey Industries. Two days after signing paperwork excusing her from her duties, Sergei's lab was suddenly and violently rummaged through, resulting in the loss of several blueprints for her arm. While no one could connect Crey to the crime, it should be noted that similar technology can now be seen on the Crey Protectors that patrol the Crey's Folly district.

Sergei has since entered into several lucrative contracts with other corporations, including Hero Corps and Microsoft. It is not uncommon to see Sergei in her custom-built Hero Corps Representative armor, offering advice and training to up-and-coming heroes outside of the Atlas Park office, and signing autographs on a fairly regular basis. Commercials for her services run on all of the network channels, and she is the most-requested agents for birthday parties and office celebrations.

Microsoft has provided her with several major software updates, including her firewall, and an internal XBOX 360 Elite has even been mounted into her chassis. Featured at gaming conventions across the United States and Canada, up to three players can connect to her wirelessly, while an LCD screen is projected onto the nearest wall. Sergei often the center of attention at XBOX Live competitions, and a skilled competitor in her own right.

She also has several exclusive contracts with Vanguard, being a full-time member herself. With the aid of their funding, she has had time to develop her "Ghost" Suit even further, adding several key modifications to its design. Sergei can often be found working in the Compound's garage, working on new, more efficient software updates for the stable of Heavy Vanguard Assault Suits.
