Alex's childhood.
Alexander Paige was born on August 18, 1991 in Paris, Texas. His mother died at child birth, and his father, the pessimistic man known as Vincente Paige, abandoned him to the Dallas-Fortworth Childcare orphanage when he was 11 months old. To this end, Alex has never met his father, only knowing that he lives in the Rogue Isles. During his life at the orphanage, Alex was rebellious, often running away from the shelter in order to "explore" the big city around him. His adventrous nature often got him into trouble, but was, at his age, mostly harmless. The other Orphans did not like him, seeing as he still had a father. This led him to be somewhat of a solitary person, although he would regularly enjoy the company of others around him.
Alex's transition into the family lifestyle
Eventually, when he was 8, a young couple came along and decided to adopt him. They said that Alex had a special quality that dissallowed him from not being loved. At first, Alex had tension with the two, because he was not allowed to partake in his usual activities such as wandering around town unheeded. But, as he began to realize the couple only wanted whats best for him, he began to hunker down and act like the son they never had. For the next two years, Alex's life was spent in the happy confines of a beautiful family.
The Rikti Invasion
This all changed when the Rikti invasion began. During the first month of the invasion, Alex and his family hid away downstairs, only coming out at night so they could get supplies. Alex began to feel extremely cramped, and began to exhibit his rebellious habbits again. His parents began to worry, but were not able to pay attention due to the task of surviving. For the next 2 months, few words were exchanged. Alex would later regret these long breaks of silence. During the 3rd month of the invasion, the Rikti began searching through homes, killing and converting the survivors who waited in their steads. A squadron of Rikti reached the block that his house was on, and began searching through the rubble for targets. When it came to Alex's house, his parents knew they had to sacrifice themselves. At 3:00, the two brave parents opened the door, and began to fire rounds from the rifles they had stored away. The shots did nothing to harm the advancing Rikti infantry. Alex watched in horror as his parents were slaughtered, giving him the distraction he needed to escape. Ever rebellious, the vengeful Alex began to attack the Rikti with stones. The Rikti Infantry, amused by this Earthling's useless display of anger, only brutalized Alex. They beat him, using the butts on their blades to break his bones. He lay their, wreathing in agony, as the Rikti ravaged his home. Broken, beaten, and dieing, Alex mourned over the loss of his foster parents.
Entropius
Arrival
Before coming to Earth to feed off of the homosapien population, Entropius was a young Kheldian named Algarus, who's primary goal was to bring peace and aid to other civilizations, much like the peace corps in human culture. It is currently unknown as to why Entropius became a Nictus, However, upon coming to Earth, he discovered Alex, bruised, beaten, and dieing after the brutal attack by Rikti forces. His Nictus core was so overwhelmed with sadness at seeing this young life form being destroyed, that he decided, in an act of kindness, to fuse with Alex and save the young boy's life. Ever since the two formed, Entropius has been a deciding factor on many of the daily going-ons of Alex's life.
Bonding
At first, Alex did not know how to deal with being a host to an intergalactic being. I mean, who would right? Luckily, Entropius, farely fond of the young boy, was pacient and very loving. He was more of a fatherly figure for the longest time, teaching the boy about his new found powers, and how to use them. Alex, reluctant at first to use his powers, gradually began to accept it, and accept Entropius as well. A kind of relationship began to form between the two. At first, it was a father son relationship. Now, it is the bond between kindred spirits. Not only does Entropius teach Alex the way of Kheldian life, Alex teaches Entropius the way of human life, even going as far as to help explain each and every emotion that he feels to Entropius. This is the beginning of a deep rooted, long life, life long journey of two kindred spirits, and the beginning of the super hero, Shadowscorn.
Personalities
Alex is a young rebellious teenager with a lust for partying, nightlife, and danger. Although he previously would have attested to any relationship that was not man and woman, his bonding with Entropius has taught him that love and passion can come in any shape, size, or gender. He has an eye for fashion, and can be caught regulary changing his threads at the Steel Canyon Icon Store where he works as the assistant manager.
Entropius is Alexander's Kheldian symbiote. He disallows Alex to drink alcohol, partake in any extremely dangerous activities, stay up late, and otherwise harm his body. He comes accross as cold and sadistic to those who either he or Alex do not trust. But if he and Alex like you, he will defend you to the death. Although Entropius may seem like the fatherly figure, he, much like Alex, is yet a child in the prime of his life. The two share a bond that surpases even the bond between family. Alex once stated "I don't know what I'd do if Entro was gone. I'd probably jump of the nearest tall building. He's like a father, brother, best friend, and a kindred spirit all in one."
Combat Technique
When the time comes, all must fight. Shadowscorn prefers to stay at range, blasting the target with his Nova form's powerful attacks. When the enemy either finds his way to Shadowscorn, or Shadowscorn is knocked out of the sky, he begins fighting in his human form, usually focusing his attacks on the entire group instead of one at a time. If he begins to take damage, he shapeshifts into the Dark Dwarf form, as it is much more sturdier then either his human form or the nova form. In rare occassions, Shadowscorn will completely transform himself into Kheldian Essence, becoming untouchable and very, very powerful. He relies on Alex's instinct, and Entropius's intelligence for tactics, which essentially makes him a brilliant tactician when the need arrises. Should Entropius become nullified, while fighting Quantums, Voids, or other Nictus, Alex will usually begin to fight himself, relying on his own naturally enhanced abilities to avoid, escape, and even trap a foe. He can heal himself by taking in the leftover essence from the dead arround him, and using it to reform his own essence. He can also unchain the essence of his dead foes, causing a ball of Kheldian energy to form and orbit him, acting as a turret and distraction for a few minutes.
