Personality

Shar'mesa's mood can change at the drop of a hat, but mainly, she almost always is cheerful, and nearly bubbly in demeanor. Though oddly enough, Shar seems to be able to put a stop to more unstable outbursts, so all of this could just be her messing with us.

History

In her thousands of years of life, Shar has been all over the world and even beyond.

Telling Fact from Fiction

Shar often speaks of involvement in several historic events, it is unsure if she really ever had any involvement in them, but from the amount of detail she usually goes into, it can be at least assumed she was there at the time of the event.

Before the bottle

Not much information exists on Shar before her being sealed within the bottle that sapped her powers, but as far as her stories go, she traveled the world playing pranks, and causing disasters. Shar speaks with fondness of this time before her imprisonment, but then again, many would.

Ancient Greece

Shar enjoyed traveling the countryside in ancient Greece, very rare and far between were her trips into the city, often taking the disguise of birds and flying over the city, or sitting in on political meetings.

Sealed Within the Bottle

At some point around one thousand years ago, Shar was attacked by a powerful mystic, who sought to enslave her and use her power to extend his life. After a seemingly endless battle, which last several days, He finally succeeded in imprisoning Shar, trapping her within a bottle that was enchanted to constantly feed her stolen energies into the mystic. For years she stayed as his unwilling magical battery, until finally, the mystic was executed as a heretic during the crusades. Her bottle, along with most of his artifacts were sealed away, or that is what the church would have preferred, many soldiers sold what they found, after pocking it, in this manner is how Shar escaped being sealed away in some Catholic storage facility.

A Slave Through History

After the mystic who enslaved her was killed, Shar's prison bottle traveled many places.

Nazi Germany

Shar's participation in the Nazi regime was limited at best, but several top ranked Nazi party members had at one point held her bottle, and used her as a sort of advisory, being paranoid of the possible damage he could do with her in his hands, the ones holding her bottle tended to keep her bottle hidden away, even going to far as to move it to their personal homes away from the battles. Albert Speer was the last Nazi to hold Shar's bottle, and despite knowing it could grant him his wildest dreams, did not ask for anything, having heard how Shar had twisted the wishes of several other Nazi's. Her bottle was eventually claimed during an Allied search of Albert Speer's home. After this point it is unknown were Shar's bottle traveled to, tho it eventually found it's way to the Rogue Isles.

Freedom At Last!

Shar finally got her break, over a thousand years after her being sealed away within the bottle, on the smallest of the Rogue Isles, Mercy Island, she was released by a young girl, only known now as Sandra. Sandra found Shar's bottle, buried in the sand one day, radiating with dark magic. The girl picked up the bottle, treating it exactly how a character in a TV show or comic book would, and immediately rubbed it, though this drew no response, she quickly uncapped the bottle, pulling the glass stopper from it, gaining what she thought was a prize. Shar had been woken up after many years of rest, smiling at the girl who was apparently now her master. The girl wanted power, fame, and the ability to punish those who had picked on her, her whole life. Shar granted all of these things to the girl, at the cost of using her body as a medium to escape the prison of her bottle.

The Rogue Isles

Shar wandered the Isles for several months, working with Arachnos while she restored her powers slowly, eventually casting off the body that she'd stolen from Sandra. She formed her own body soon after, and began to restore her full powers at a much more rapid pace. She soon found a use for Sandra, binding her soul to the blackness that she could manifest, creating a sort of pet. Shar used Sandra for quite some time on the isles, making the bound girl's soul work with her to take down the more powerful of her enemies. As Shar grew stronger, she started to realize how evil she had become thanks to her lust for power. She quickly started trying to do some good as well, around the Isles. This sudden change in behavior did not go unnoticed among Recluse's lackey's who started hunting her fervently after this moment.

Powers and Abilities

Darkness

Shar'mesa's main powers extend from her being attuned at birth to elemental darkness. This gives her a very parasitic nature, allowing her to feed off of the spirits of her enemies, emotionally, and physically.

Wind

As a Jinn, Shar'mesa has an innate connection to the four winds. Allowing her to fly.

Trivia

  • Shar get's quite angry when people call her a "Genie" but openly admits that she got the idea of one of her first outfits from the show "I dream of Jeannie"
