<Data retrieved from one casual observer - 2/1/08>
Shrouded in darkness and seductive mystery, everything about this woman screams danger, power, and secrecy. The glimpse of a black tattoo can be seen on her right temple, hidden by her rich brown hair. Several scars taint the perfect, deep skin of her body, especially before being hidden by gloves. Glimpses of something metallic can be seen at her wrists, hiding something more deadly than her piercing gray eyes. Every inch of this woman seems deadly and perfect in its own way. Even her voice is velvety smooth with a rich, purring Italian accent. Her personality and mood seems to change with the wind, even the amount of attention and care to detail comes and goes with each breath. Able to gain every desiring eye in the area with just a single captivating glance, yet avoid detection with just a thought.

Something is different. Everything she was before... is now more. She walks with incredible confidence. Upon closer scrutiny, even her appearance has mildly changed. Her skin is perfect, untainted. There's not a scar to be seen. Her eyes are darker, deeper. Whereas before they were a solid steel coat of impenetrable strength, they're now deep and dark, as if they can ensnare every inch of your soul and understand every dark desire and secret. She has gained a grace that was previously unseen. It's as if she is a master of even the air she walks around in. She has become a creature of incredible confidence, grace, and beauty - if there was even the chance for her to be more lovely. The air around her even seems to suggest that she is more than she ever was: more powerful, stronger, faster, more beautiful, more seductive, more deadly... just more. She gazes at me now and smiles the most entrancing and poisonous smile - as if she can understand the words I'm writing to this paper, as if she knows every detail I commit to page as well as every detail within my heart and soul. She was such an exotic and rare creature before, yet now all those traits are amplified even more. It's almost unnatural... What happened to her?
Background
<Classified Document retrieved from the Archives of the Department of Defense>
Subject was discovered at the age of six, covered in blood, in Milan by the Cabinieri. There was no report on why she was found in the state she was. Family ties are unknown. Subject was placed in an orphanage, and continuously cycled through orphanages due to unruly behavior until the age of twelve when the manifestation of powers became noticeable. Subject is able to shroud and protect herself with strange black matter - as if the night sky desires to engulf her. After this manifestation, Subject was brought to the United States for testing. During testing, the Subject gained an acute knowledge of everything the researchers were attempting. Many researchers claimed the Subject to be telepathic. Testing showed nothing more than the Subject to have an IQ past that of Einstein, all other testing was inconclusive.
At the age of thirteen, Subject was placed in DARPA's weapon's project. Information of weapon's project is classified. Nothing is known of project other than Subject's affinity for combat piloting and ease with handling small weapons. Subject's first name is classified, however, during flight combat the Subject coined herself with the call-sign, "Sigma." Subject remained solely in weapon's project until the age of eighteen. At eighteen, Subject was placed in an advanced education program, earning a doctorate in Nano-Technologies and Advanced Robotics. Subject also showed a keen interest in the arts, eventually gaining a masters in Musicology.
At the age of twenty two, Subject was placed into covert field-work for the Department of Defense. During this time, the Subject earned the full nickname of "Sigma Evenfall" for the compilation she possessed of education, combat, and the arts, as well as her affinity with dusk and nightfall. At twenty-three, Subject began to show increasing hostility. Subject was incarcerated at Leavenworth after striking and killing a superior officer with a single hit. Subject was sentenced to life in prison, however the Subject escaped after three months of solitary-confinement, killing most of the stationed guard. The weapon used to escape is unknown and was never located, however the bodies indicate some type of bladed weapon. Whereabouts are currently unknown.
Personality
<Audio files retrieved from case studies within the Department of Defense>
- -A woman's voice is heard, gentle and serene with a faint English accent - the perfect voice of a psychiatrist-
"A more gifted and unique child I have never seen. This humble physician desires for the child to be put into the educational system to reap the benefits of her intellect and strength, not hidden behind the many layered walls of DARPA's projects. However, initial diagnosis shows many interesting things. The child is merely twelve years of age, yet she shows the brilliance of a woman twice her age. The child has a fierce sense of survival - perhaps from her years spent among orphanages? She is easily angered. Anything suggested of her family or of her unique powers, and she immediately becomes a very volatile hellion. What happened to the child's family? She obviously knows something, or else such a violent reaction would not be warranted. Maybe the next session will prove more fruitful. -- KA"
- -The voice of an elderly man is now heard, stern yet quizzical-
"It has been more than four years since the subject's last evaluation, and as instructed I have observed the subject over those four years. My summary is as follows: This physician believes that more are certainly warranted due to the subject's incredible developments. Her newest array of powers apparently developed over the past four years. The subject can now completely shroud herself in what can only be described as negative, dark energy. She wears this power like a cloak whenever threatened. Subject also shows tendencies for narcissism and self-preservation. She has an intense will to live and be everything she can be. Her temper is fast and dark. Now, with combat training, it seems that anything can set her off on a rage. She has already killed three classmates for nothing more than looking at her incorrectly, however DARPA still seems too interested in keeping her due to her special abilities. This physician believes that DARPA is more afraid of her attacking them than feeling a real need to keep her around. Regardless... the subject is easily the most loved and most hated item among her classmates in the field. It seems that she has some strange hold on them whenever she chooses to affix it. This physician cannot even help feeling charmed by her at many times throughout the session. How can a sixteen year old girl hold that kind of power over not only a married man, but also all those around her - male and female, young and old alike? It is something in her eyes... -- BW"
- -The voice of a young man is now present, engaged in his assessment-
"It has been four years, and the child has now grown into a woman of twenty years. She is quite remarkable, really. Narcissistic as my previous colleague noted, but the streak of rage that both colleagues have commented upon is completely extinct now. Sigma, as she's begun to call herself, shows an intense awareness of everything - even things that are not around her. This physician has only noted a temper flare once in the past four years as she failed at constructing a bio-mechanical exoskeleton. On the contrary of my last two colleagues, Sigma seems to be every bit a calm and collected individual. However, it is entirely unnerving to walk in to see her listening to Paganini (the virtuoso violinist whom Italy coined as the Devil's violinist), and working on a project - to see her affix you with those piercing gray eyes of hers, not saying a word, just watching you. It's as if she can read your soul just by glancing at your eyes for a moment. But as for her temper, even at the prodding from classmates, she still keeps her calm and merely responds with some quick-witted answer. She is quite gifted in music just as well as she is in everything else - get her started talking on some long dead composer and a light shines in her eyes like nothing else in the world matters but music. Regardless, over the past few years, she has developed a very self-assured attitude. It is obvious that she believes she is capable of everything and anything - which as far as I've seen, is entirely true. She is strong, smart, beautiful, desired, terrifying... and she knows it. -- DVS"
- -A woman's voice is audible once more, only this time it is filled with remorse, and weariness-
"Normally, I would not be making this report for another year. I have observed Ms. Verona (as we have discovered is her true last name) for the past three years, and the developments have not been good. She is volatile. Unpredictable. She has been placed in the covert division of DARPA, executing field work as an assassin for the past three years. It seems those three years have inflicted a great deal of damage on her mind. Yesterday, after being questioned about a kill and being insulted before her team, Ms. Verona struck her commander, and with that single blow had killed him. She injured twelve other men, and killed three as they attempted to take her into custody. She has become a whirlwind harbinger of death, and I am afraid we are the ones who have created her and summoned her wrath. Perhaps we should have listened to Dr. Anders when she suggested placing Ms. Verona in a normal institution that provided love and care instead of steel, work, and blood. Granted, we cannot go back in the past or afford to regret. She rather seems to have developed something of a split personality, and I believe we are to blame. At times she can be the calm, collected, charming, brilliant scientist, or she can be the dark, deadly, seductive, and volatile assassin. Either way, it seems her true identity was created by us. However, I do believe that she is beyond saving. Such layers of psychoses would take years to unwrap, and after her actions now, along with her past actions - means must be taken immediately to remedy the situation. As head of the psychological division of DARPA, I suggest sentencing Ms. Verona to the death penalty. She is far too dangerous and far too powerful for her own good, much less the good of the people. -- LE"
- -The last voice is a man's, hurried, panicked, terrified. Screaming and short bursts of gunfire is heard in the background.-
"I don't know how I'm going to get this to DARPA, but I'll be damned if I don't try. The girl - Sigma - she's not bloody human anymore! Something... I went to her cell, solitary confinement... We hadn't heard anything from her for a month other than the slide of her food tray. I felt obligated to check on her to make sure she was alright. God, she was beautiful. Even with those... things... coming from her hands. I knew what she was doing... I knew that I was going to die... I knew by opening that damned door that I was dooming us all... yet, I still did it. She was calling to me, and I couldn't stop myself! I saw all of us burning to hell, yet I stilled opened her goddamned door! She... something... in her hands. I thought she had two swords at first... but then I saw that there were six of them... coming out of her goddamned hands! I don't..."
-A clatter is heard as the tape recorder is dropped to the ground. A cry is heard from the man with the sound of a door bangs open. A woman's voice is now faintly heard, rich and pure - nothing more than a seductive purr.-
"My dear doctor... You never should have opened my door."
-The woman laughs and a short scream is heard from the man before the sound is cut off by a slicing and rolling sound. The tape recorder is muffled for a moment as it seems to be picked up. The woman's voice is now louder than before, she obviously is holding the device. You can almost see the wicked smile on her lips as she speaks.-
"This is for my dear friends at DARPA... Stay away. You've created a monster, now deal with that truth on your consciences. Nothing you can do will ever stop me. You think you can kill me and keep me locked up for eternity? You think I can't handle everything you throw at me? Watch me."
-The tape recorder shuts off-
Known Associations
<Association list retrieved by undercover agent in Crey Industries>
The Nictus: The target known as Sigma Evenfall is almost always with the company of some dark being composed of nothing more than pure energy. Our resources identify this creature to truly be a Nictus, however, we have not been able to glean a name nor a visual of the host that the Nictus should be occupying. She seems to treat it like an old friend or her dearest lover - which designation it truly is, we are unsure of. Do not engage the subject when in the presence of this being. We have already noted deadly consequences to those that do risk it.
Lt. Weller: This outstanding, however slightly unorthodox PPD Lieutenant is strangely and quite randomly seen with the subject. A hero such as he mixing with what the ordinary citizen would term as a "villain" is quite odd, however, they seem to agree and strangely get along perfectly. Subject seems to almost view Weller not as a friend, but as someone whom she needs to provide guidance and support. She seems to have taken almost a motherly interest towards him, frequently assisting him on his operations to watch and protect him. Odd duo.
OOC Info
<Random background information that might prove useful>
(This information is not necessarily common knowledge but to those few close to her, however, it might help to gain some further insight into the woman)
- Sigma does have a dual personality, however she has come to control both sides in harmony until extreme emotions are accessed.
- Having a masters in Musicology, she -is- thoroughly involved and interested with music. She is seldom seen working without something audible to accompany her, and frequently the music reflects her mood and temperament.
- Sigma has a severe abhorrence to taking orders and being commanded. She relishes in bucking against anything demanding her, and basks in the anger likewise produced as a reaction to her actions. She thrives off of conflict and seduction, always seeking the pleasure of teasing and torturing the mind into confused chaos. Unpredictability is her weapon, and she is an unmatched, masterful wielder of it. She is the ultimate chess master of life - always thinking hundreds of moves in advance to further her own goals the most.
- She does know more about her past than she ever lets on. She has knowledge of her family, her upbringing until the age of six, and her name. She knows where her powers came from and how she accessed them. She almost always knows more than she lets on.
- Her abilities and self-sureness come from the knowledge of her own past and heritage. Her abilities come from her sub-conscious, thus making their potential limitless.
- Sigma is also multi-lingual, being fluent in English, German, and Italian - however, she usually slips occasional words in from her native language.
- She has three theme songs: 1. Alice Cooper - Poison 2. Chris Cornell - You Know My Name 3. Johannes Brahms - Cello Sonata in E Minor
- She was recently transformed into a genetically and physiologically altered Human due to the introduction of Nictus psionic abilities by a soul that shall remain unnamed. She seems to remain firmly under his control and eye due to these changes, but constantly seeks to undermine him due to her own nature and her own dark heritage. As a result of this transformation... whereas before she was only highly empathic, she now holds the skillful power of telepathy and empathy as only a Nictus can control. She is also stronger, faster, and her mental prowess is even quicker and more brilliant than before.
