Born in the bustling metropolis that is Tokyo to a wealthy business magnate and his dutiful wife, the man that would go on to become one of the world’s deadliest assassins, Kenji Kyoshi was not happy as a child. Though one might assume that a child with a father as wealthy as his might want for nothing, that wasn't the case. Kenji's father believed toys were distractions and ordered him to focus on building his future. Though his mother was more affectionate than his father, both his parents demanded excellence. Kenji would not disappoint them.

What the family did not know, was that Kenji was born with and possessed photographic reflexes - he could duplicate any physical movement or action he witnessed with absolute perfection. They simply believed he was naturally brilliant. He spent his teenage years easily picking up and retaining complex skills and abilities that adults spend their entire lives perfecting.

Throughout adolescence, he pursued multiple extracurricular activities and excelled in every one he participated in. He became an Olympic-level decathlete at sixteen. Graduated college at eighteen and had earned three PhD's by the time he was twenty one. His mother unfortunately died in an automobile accident shortly afterwards. Devastated, Kenji threw himself into competition, participating all over the world in dozens of different fields of competition. He did not excel for his father's approval anymore. He competed for The acclaim. The renown that came with every victory and record set.

Having become estranged from his father after learning of his adulterous behavior while his mother was still alive, Kenji had forsaken his entire inheritance, preferring to earn and build his own fortune rather than simply inheriting his father's. He became a self-made millionaire practically overnight by forming his own tech company - Kyoshi-Tech Industries.

On the eve of his twenty-fourth birthday, Kenji's father was murdered for having an affair with the wife of a rival businessman.

"While it did not hold the blade that cut him down, my father's true murderer was his own arrogance. He believed his wealth made him untouchable. That he could move about and behave however he liked, with no repercussions. He was incorrect. And though I never particularly liked my father, as a son, it was my duty to avenge him."

"The man who had my father killed surrounded himself with some of the world's most elite killers as his personal bodyguards. But they were not me."

Two days later, the chief executive of his father's rival company was found dead, hanging from a chandelier in his home. Underneath him, one of the criminal underworld's most notorious Yakuza hitmen impaled on a katana.

Having already mastered multiple forms of martial arts, hand-to-hand combat and marksmanship to use in competitions across the world, finding and killing the men who murdered his father was not at all difficult. With vengeance achieved, Kenji could now shift his focus towards other interests.

Only Kenji found he enjoyed the rush of assassination far more than board meetings and wining and dining company shareholders.

“The question I get most often (from those that realize who I am in the minutes before I kill them), is “Why? With all the wealth, all the achievements, and all the fortune that I've found, why do I do what I do?” The question's always confused me as the answer is so simple...

"Don't misunderstand me, I do not enjoy the killing. I'm not a sadist. No, it's everything up to it that I love. The preparation. Tracking the target. Defeating them. And those last few seconds when they realize that I've bested them. That for all their bluster, their pleading, that there's nothing they can do to prevent what's coming. That's why I do what I do."

Kenji defers leading the company to his vice-president and most trusted confidante Amy Koyo. By day he is Kenji Kyoshi, business prodigy and one of the world's youngest millionaires, but by night he operates as Skill, one of the world's most deadly assassins.

Photographic Reflexes: Kenji's only real superhuman ability is his photographic reflexes. He is able to watch another person's physical movements and duplicate them without any practice or training. He can duplicate almost any physical activity after seeing it done by someone else only once, and can apply this ability to learn complex gymnastics routines, master martial arts and hand-to-hand combat techniques. However, he typically prefers to use this ability to copy the combat skills, both armed and unarmed, of costumed crime-fighters and expert martial artists from around the world. By reviewing recordings of movements periodically, Kenji can retain duplicated moves indefinitely. He's even learned multiple languages just by viewing a person's mouth while speaking.

Polymath: His mind processes information quickly, giving him an accelerated learning aptitude, capable of perfectly memorizing anything (eidetic memory) and has perfect recall. Thus he can instantly comprehend and assimilate any kind of knowledge or fighting style. Kenji is able to learn and understand the complexity and exactness of multiple fields of study at an extremely high speed without the need of long-term or special education. Ge possesses perfect pattern solving/recognition, extremely high perception/observational skills, and powerful deductive/reasoning skills.

Master Combatant and Weapons Expert: Regarded as one of the most formidable armed and unarmed combatants in the world. He has mastered nearly all forms of martial arts including modern and historical styles, boxing, wrestling, swordsmanship, archery, marksmanship, juggling, gymnastics, aerial acrobatics, and even sleight of hand. Due to his abilities and the examination of others' fighting styles, Kenji has become an master in melee weaponry as well as being extremely proficient with ranged weapons such as bows, throwing stars and firearms.

A man of impeccable taste, Kenji Kyoshi enjoys the finer things in life. Expensive food, tailored clothing, fast cars and even faster women. He is not however, easily distracted by these things and knows when to get serious. He plays hard and lives fast, but he is publicly known as a very sharp deal maker and brilliant executive with a workaholic streak.

• Awesomeness by Analysis - As noted, Kenji is able to copy the skills and movements of anyone he sees. Not only that, but he can use this knowledge to predict what his opponents will do next.

• Genius Bruiser - In addition to being an extremely dangerous assassin, Kenji is incredibly intelligent. He can speak multiple languages, is a skilled tactician and exceptionally good at getting into heavily guarded places and getting out undetected.

• Honest Corporate Executive - Though he may kill people for money, Kenji's immoral actions do not extend to the boardroom. He is not willing to profit at the expense of sacrificing his moral principles such as business/social ethics, corporate responsibility, or protecting the interest of innocent civilians.

• Guns vs. Swords - He is a master of both and will use either, though he normally relies on bladed weapons. But that doesn't means he won't pull out a silenced pistol or two if the mood strikes him.
