Life Story

Skyler was born on the small Island of Nantucket, raised in a very liberal family and pursuing his passions all through his life. At the age of 4 he began skiing, taking to the slopes as if he came out of the whom on skis. He started racing at the age of 5 and soon became a force in the ski racing world. He won the Whistler cup at the ages of 11 and 12, and then the junior olympics when he was 13 and 14. This led him to Italy for the Topolino shootout, his first set of international races. He didn't let down and won all of the races by huge margins. Gaining sponsorships by various companies, including Blizzard Skis, Technica Ski Boots, Slytech Armor, and POC Helmets and suits. He started to compete around the world stunning people with his speed and grace. He was an olympic prospect, soon to be at the highest level.....only sixteen. His body was in peak shape, his muscles were massive, explosive and toned, and his stamina rivaled no other.

Little did Skyler know, he had been watched since he first clicked into a pair of skis. He had been under the eye of Lord Recluse for years, and years. One day after a race he settled into his bed....dreaming of his girlfriend, and drifting into slumber. He awoke to a small poke in his neck feeling a needle and noticing a dark figure, and then blacked out.

Awaking in a large, what seemed like laboratory, strapped down to a cold metal table, naked, exposed, scared. Lord Recluse appeared from the shadows and walked slowly towards Skyler. His body now shaking and struggling to get free from his restraints. The dark voice spoke to him, "Hello there, are you ready to have your life changed forever?" Skyler had no idea what was going on, his body shuddering in fear and his mouth not able to form words. Mad looking scientists replaced recluse as they started prepping him for the terror that was soon to come.

They didn't give him anything for the pain, they told him he needed to be able to withstand it. Needles and liquids violated his body. Test after test was completed, and then they came to him one night, he was covered in blood and tears, the pain overwhelming and his mind about to give up. They told him they were going to make him stronger, better....and they stuck four huge IV's into his veins. Small nanites poured into his body strengthening him and repairing the damage that they had already done. The pain was not over though as the bots began to push Carbon Fibre Strands through his skin, encasing his body in a lightweight armor. Screaming throughout the whole process they soon surgically gave him large carbon fibre wings.

Once all of this surgery and transformation was complete they let the nanites heal him. The small bots floating in his blood stream flooded his body with energy, hard to control but oh so powerful. The energy manifests itself as powerful blades that protrude from his wrists...and flames that leave a tingling sensation on whatever they touch. Then they began to brain wash him....turning him into an evil, blood thirsty mercenary. Fangs replaced some of his teeth and he began to train in the ways of killing. He became Lord Recluse's right hand man, the most lethal of his creations.

He battled with the Freedom Phalanx many a times, defeating them, becoming one of their biggest threats. It was not until the Phalanx discovered his story that they decided to help Skyler.....now named Slytech after his carbon fibre armor company. the Phalanx eventually was able to capture him after a destructive battle between Slytech and Statesman. They began to send him through rehabilitation, and try and find the old Skyler hidden in the depths of his mind.

Eventually they were able to give him some of his life back. They were able to give him control over the nano-bots so that he could be somewhat human when he wanted to. his wings would disappear as well as most of the carbon fur. When he wanted to he could turn back into Slytech, as he is much stronger in that form. The issue with that form is he lacks control over that power, and the evil side of him tends to rear its ugly head.

Skyler, or Sly as he is known by continues to this day to search for balance in his life. He works closely with the Phalanx to gain control over his powers and find information on his abductor.

He now lives happily in Paragon City, searching for happiness, balance and revenge.

Recent Activities

Recently was bit by a vampiress. He brought it upon himself, not thinking, not realizing the implications. Luckily his body fought off the change, he now lives his life as a half-breed. Needing blood in order to survive, but on a much lower level. He has more control for his thirst than other vampires, and doesn't have to deal with any of their weaknesses. His power has grown immensely from the change, his pheromones have become more intoxicating, and his fangs have grown to a noticeable length.
