From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
"There cannot exist something without its opposite. Where there is you, there is me. We're partners in so many ways, enemies in all the others. Stay in your world and I shall keep to mine." -Solus Letum

Rituals
A group of mages, seeking to banish evil from a place decided to use an obscure ritual, giving the evil energies a form so they could defeat it permanently. The ritual took place over three days in which the every energy in the place was forced to coalesce and slowly began to take shape. Once the form became solid it seemed to be a small girl, pointed ears and ashen skin, eyes that were red with small black pupils. Immediately deciding this creature was the embodiment of the evil they sought to destroy they set out to attack her.
Bound in the circle the ritual had been performed in the girl couldn't move or defend herself, instead forced to take the punishment she was given. After some time it was decided they would question her. After much time spent still confined in the circle, answering the questions posed to her the mages decided that the girl wasn't evil, but instead a sort of blank slate.
Not wanting to deal with the responsibility of having created something they decided instead to bring her to Freedom Corps to deal with her.
Bound and Seperate
When the girl was created she was one of two beings created at the same moment. One created with the majority of the 'bad' energy in the area, the other with the 'good'. While neither is completely one or the other, they compliment each other quite well, in addition to being bound to each other. When something happens to one, it happens to the other, such with injuries and strong emotions.
Solus Pecco
Left to the care of a group with no actual facilities to help such an individual, Solus was deemed adult enough to care for herself. Not having an easily defined age she was left to her own devices with little care or guidance initially until the government decided to take notice (more specifically after an incident in which a confused Solus went on a rampage that started with saving a woman from being mugged to taking down several police officers until heroic interference was needed and the girl subdued). Finding that the girl had a unique sort of berserker state that arose through prolonged combat it was decided she should be given guidance and informal training in order to be considered a proper hero.
Solus Letum
This second version of the same being escaped immediately upon being released from the circle binding the creature the mages had helped to form the woman was able to arrive on the Rogue Isles with the help of some crafty stowaway. Not knowing how things functioned exactly the woman found herself overpowering and taking the costume of an Arachnos Widow, eventually managing contacts enough to have not only her name added to the possible 'Chosen Ones' list but also just to live her life as she sees fit. At this point in time it is known that Letum continues to work for Arachnos under an assumed name and continues to further her own name by doing tasks for others as well as seeking out her own opportunities for mischief making.
