Implants allow her to create force fields of almost any size and density (Force Fields can be transparent enough to allow small particles to pass through or dense enough to cut off air). Force Fields can also negate the effects of gravity. Also wears special suits designed to resist exposure to elemental extremes and pressure. Flight is achieved by surrounding herself with an anti-gravity force field. This field only extends a few inches from her body, but can be extended to others. | |

Character History
Long before Ara's time, the Khelarian physicist known as Kerish T'elkan had succeeded in opening a portal to another dimension. Not only was this a portal to another dimension, but to another point in space as well (which was not known until much later). As the portal opened, what seemed to be a flood "dark light" poured through and infected those on Kerish's research team. As a wave of this energy hurdled toward the physicist, he braced himself for the impact but he felt nothing. Kerish was one of the many Khelarians who possesed the ability to generate a special kind of energy from thier body. As he opened his eyes he noticed that this energy had begun to pulsate from his body and was repelling this incoming energy. Upon realizing what was happening, Kerish frantically attempted to shut down the portal but to no avail. As the portal remained open more of this "dark light" flooded into the facility and out into the surrounding areas, infecting all of those that it came into contact with.
In a final attempt to do something about the portal Kerish decided that reversing the polarity of the opening might have an effect. Once he threw the switch to reverse the flow of energy the portal closed for a moment, and then opened again. The reversed polarity of the energy from the portal began to pull the "dark light" that had escaped into the opening. However it only sucked in the energy that was close enough to the portal. After the portal room was clear of the mysterious energy (and the researchers that it infected), Kerish destroyed the power supply to the portal.
In the years that followed, the Khelarians fought a long battle with the "dark light" that came through the portal. It was revealed that this energy that came through the portal was some type of energy being. Those who had become possesed by the energy were put into quarantine until the energy being was separated from thier bodies. As word of this incident spread around the Cheytherian Galaxy, all of thier inhabitants vowed never to attempt to develop or use such technology again.
Many years later...
A Cheytherian intergalactic exploration unit made up of serveral starships, including a group from the Khelarian Armada, were travelling in the Milky Way Galaxy when they detected traces of a long forgotten energy signature. There were only a few that still knew of the incident involving the Khelarian's extradimensional research. One of these was a veteran officer in the Khelarian Armada named Ara K'aela. Upon recieving the news of the find, the leaders of the exploration unit held a meeting to discuss the find. As Ara sat and listened to the discussion about what should be done, she noticed that the energy signature that was discovered and the one that they has on file were similar, but not identical. After bringing this to the attention of the rest of the leaders of the group, Ara volunteered to go on ahead of the exploration unit and follow the energy trail to where ever it leads. Assisting her on her journey would be a sentient supercomputer by the name of Mnemonica (whom Ara helped create). Her mission was to gather whatever information she can regarding the energy being(s) and report back with her findings...
Personality
Space-Girl isn't much of a conversationalist because she is always thinking and/or planning. She is usually very focused on whatever it is that she is doing. She is also described by those who know her as being very direct; sometimes to the point of being rude. She doesn't intended for her straight-forward approach to be mistaken for rudeness or arrogance. She simply believes it is the best way to communicate, as there is little chance that what she is says will be misunderstood. The only people that she seems to open up to are Mnemonica V, Sara Nova, Sovereign Starlette, and Aerius, as they are her most trusted associates.
Powers
The only superhuman power that Space-Girl posesses is her natural ability manipulate and fire energy blasts that impact with great force. Her force field generating abilities are technological in origin. Before leaving on her mission to Earth, she had force field generating technology implanted throughout her body. The only visible evidence of these enhancements are the small aqua blue colored orbs she has in the palms of both of her hands.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Space-Girl's physical limitations are the same as any other human. Although she is a bit stronger than a human female her size. Electromagnetic pulses can knock out her implants for a moderate period of time when she is unprotected by her force fields. The resulting shock can also incapacitate her. Although, since the implants are powered by her own energy once she regains her composure she can re-power them.
