Pyridae is the second in command of the Circle of Dawn. She also performs at Club Babylon as a singer, every Saturday night, regardless of whether the club is open or closed, favoring quirky J-pop tunes and occasionally 20's style dinner music.

Personality

Calm and grave, Dae tends to spend the majority of her time working to keep the Circle of Dawn running, when she does not have more pressing concerns. She smiles little, and is inclined to contemplation, almost notorious for taking up a specific spot in the Pocket Dimension, and deflecting attempts to flirt with her, responding favorably to discussion of thoughts, actions, and at times perceptions. As a leader, Dae is known to be gentle, and open to others' counsel; she readily admits her lack of knowledge in many categories, trusting others to help guide her in the areas she lacks, while maintaining her own outlook and style.

Powers

Pyridae is every inch the goddess of the Dawn, and it shows in her combat abilities.

Divine Body

Dae regenerates almost instantly from any wound - while her regeneration can be overwhelmed and force her to stop for a moment, she will eventually keep coming. This, added to the fact that her skin is extremely tough to even damage, means that she is ultimately impossible to permanently kill, barring extreme measures and certain magics (and most of those will fail, when used upon her, only incapacitating her temporarily). Rumor has it that she has survived freefall from orbit without a scratch on her, but this is ultimately unconfirmed. To add to this, Dae's physical strength is virtually limitless, and her body projects a field to which she may anchor, lifting things that would normally split the ground she stands on. It is well-known that she limits her strength to "Just enough to be comfortable swinging her greatsword", however, and when unarmed, often limits her strength to roughly peak human normal.

Divine Will

Dae is flatly immune to outside influences tampering with her mind, regardless of type. Raw psychic energy can cause her disabling levels of pain, but her mind, memories, and will cannot be altered by such an intervention. She may extend this immunity to others with merely a thought, especially if the recipient is willing.

The Light of Dawn

Dae is known to possess other powers - but she does not know how to use them herself. The major one that people are aware of is her ability to divide herself into many "selves", capable of operating independently.

Abilities

Dae's father taught his children many things; specifically, he taught them many tricks of the trade used by spies, in detecting and evading pursuit, detecting deception, improvisation, martial arts, and firearms handling. Dae's wisdom is perhaps her most well known quality, though - her contemplations on life, duty, and the nature of being and love have been known to contain at least some amount of complexity, and she has been known to enjoy discussing them with others.

History

Dae avoids talking about her past, particularly before she became the Daughter of the Morning. "I am as I am.. I was as I was." Her brother is more open about his past, but ultimately, the two of them were twins, born to a pair of Ambassadors, and raised in London, coming to Paragon for private schooling, and remaining as they grew into their powers.
