Arcaedia

The planet Arcaedia is comprised of 4 major continents and 5 oceans. It is home to thousands of clans of Arcaedians, along with the reclusive Eldorai. Despite the multitude of clans, they are all ruled over by an Empress with a firm, but gentle, grip, along with a god given right. She is counseled by her Seneschal and the Council of Seven, a group consisting of one representative from each of the seven Alpha Clans. The Empress and her children are protected by the Royal Guard, the seven most accomplished warriors in the Empire, one from each Alpha Clan. Before the unification, Arcaedia consisted of warring city-states ruled by the now seven Alpha Clans. Even now, over 100,000 years later, it is still a matriarchal society, females filling the roles of warrior and ruler, with males in a more backseat role. Similar to feudal system of old, except only females can inherit land and property.

Arcaedians

Very similar in body composition to humans, even able to mate with them, though this is as far as similarities go. While skin color can be similar to that of a human, it can also be across the board. The Greystone clan is known for their grey skin tone, and the Eldorai have skin color from yellow, to purple, to orange. All Arcaedians have a number of bio-luminescent bands across their chest, back, and arms. They can be any color of the rainbow, but don't show until they are about 10yrs old, and pureblood clan members tend to be the same color. These bands are used both in portraying emotion and feeling, but also work for protection, projecting a barrier over the skin, it's strength dependent on the individual Arcaedian.

The Alpha Clans

The seven Alpha Clans are the largest and most powerful clans in all of Arcaedia. They generally lord over a number of smaller, sometimes disconnected, clans. Each of the Alpha Clans swore fealty to the Empress thousands of years ago.

The Royal Guard

They wear gold and black armour, though a minimal amount, letting their individual skills as a warrior speak for itself.

The Royal Family

It currently consists of:

• Iliyara Starcrest- Empress of the Arcaedian Empire
• Danari Starcrest- Iliyara's only daughter and Crown-Princess
• Kallara Starcrest- Iliyara's younger sinster and Seneschal
• Kyria Starcrest- Danari's grandmother and Empress before Iliyara
• Sylene Starcrest- Kallara's daughter, Life-Shield of the Crown-Princess and Commander of the Royal Guard
