Talk:Student Council/The Usual Suspects
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Okay, 1) A very good read, leaves me wanting to know more about their decisions and what comes of them. 2) I'm so pissed I didn't get the "Student Council" idea right from the title, considering the author. I hate it when a pun sneaks up on me. -- AlwaysAPrice
Brilliant.
"Could you describe the ruckus?"

Awesome as always, Ascendant. Very enjoyable! - SusieBot 12:54, 29 October 2007 (MST)
Loved it, but . . .
Just thought I'd point out there seems to be some inconsistency on Randal's last name in "The Response." In part 2, he's Randal Harrington, and Jeff is Jeff Parsons. However, they seem to have sort of been melded into one guy at some point. Or maybe I was just confused. But you may want to double-check that and see if you can tell what I'm talking about.
Regardless, wonderful writing. I'm a big fan of your work.

-No, that was intentional... Jeff and Randall both have a lot of the same concerns in that part, so they both tend to ask along the same line of questioning... that's why Jeff will ask one question, and Randall will ask the next. Remember, we know Randall can take a shot to the chest without problems, and the GC has "seen" what Jeff can do, so yeah, they're both equally freaked at this point and acting somewhat the same. I'll see what I can do to increase the distinction between them, though... Thanks for the feedback!! --Ascendant
-That is understandable, and it makes more sense now. I think I may have still detected a typo though, in Chapter 4. Randal is shot in the chest. . .
"You sick son of a bitch!" Mindy screamed at him as she fled to Randal's side, "You killed him!" "Please, Ms. McCorkendale, save the histrionics for the Drama Club," The Guidance Councillor said casually, "If I had really wanted to kill Mr. Parsons, I would have brought a bigger gun." He bent down, "You are alright, I trust, Mr. Parsons?" "That hurt like a sonofabitch!" Parson protested, then looked at his shirt. A still smoking hole within it revealed bruised but unbroken skin beneath it. "Goddamn it! That was a new shirt!"
Shouldn't the guidance councilor have referred to him as "Mr. Harrington" and he in return been referred to as Randal or Harrington in the latter narration quoted?
Also, it feels like it's been a long time since you posted a story on here, A. Any chance I'll ever get to find out more about the Student Council or Crom?
Whoops! You're absolutely correct. Thanks for catching that! And yes, Crom and the Student Council are still prowling around in the back of my mind. They'll both get their say, eventually.
