Alternate timeline, alternate universe. For Aspyn, it's all the same. Her people often send the Chosen through wormholes in space to other dimensions to aid in any way they can. The Chosen are the warriors; all others of her race are pacifistic. Aspyn of Family Tem'pra had hoped for a life as a Sage, a teacher of children. But that was not to be. As her family had no male of age, the oldest female in the bloodline is Chosen. The Sojourners (whose name is ironic, given they themselves do no journeying) noticed the calamity befalling Earth; the wars between the people and those alien races from beyond Earth's orbit. Tem'pra Aspyn and one other were sent to aid... but exactly whom, or what, are they to aid?
