The Dark Lord of Justice
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
The Dark Lord of Justice is what I came up with when I was trying to make a Mastermind I could take over hero side. Eventually, the classic fantasy villain came to mind. Often they interact with heroes through prophecies and that kind of kicked off the character.

Personality
The Dark Lord of Justice has pursued complete domination of reality for much of his existence. His current attitude is one of well meaning naivete. He see no problems with using the same abilities he used in his pursuit of ultimate power to do good.
Powers
The Dark Lord has quite a variety of magical abilities and artifacts available to him. His most common magics are infused with dark energies since they are the easiest for him to manipulate.
Other Resources
The Dark Lords personal dimension is relatively small, but large enough to house a large village and farmland that his living servants tend to. Since his new drive to become a hero, his people have seen a remarkable improvement in their quality of life, although they are expected to relinquish their corpses to him upon their death.
He also has a dark castle, which is often the focal point of his activities. This castle is the one thing that most often crosses from his home dimension into whichever reality he has focused his attention on. The place is where most of his mystic artifacts are kept. It also houses his personal guard and servants.
Weaknesses and Limitations
The Dark Lord of Justice has few personal weaknesses. The crux of his presence in most realities does revolve around his castle sending it back to his personal dimension is typically enough to get him to leave. He does not need his castle, but it is such a central focus of his resources, he rarely conducted any operations without its presence.
History
Generic Villainy
The Dark Lord is a living cliche in fantasy villains. He would appear with hoardes of the undead and attempt to dominate the land, or dispatch minions to accomplish more specific goals.
A means to Domination and the Seer
The turning point in the Dark Lord's career was the acquisition of magical orb of nearly ultimate power. The Orielius Orb. He had acquired knowledge of it from a circle of mages and was attempting to discern its location. In pursuit of this goal, he kidnapped a very accurate seer from a highly magical world he was familiar with.
As if often the case, a Hero was dispatched to take back the seer and foil whatever plans The Dark Lord had with her. Much to the surprise of the Hero, the Dark Lord was waiting with the Seer unbound and turned her over with no fuss.
He let the Hero and the Seer leave without a fuss and promptly left.
The Vision
The seers vision was disturbing and all of the Dark Lords magic's did naught but confirm her sight. If he acquired the Orb, a Hero would show up and defeat him. The Dark Lord was familiar with this scenario and was frustrated.
He probed the seer with questions, alternate methods of getting the orb, and with other goals. The message was clear. Hero's would always show up and stop such use of power.
The Dark Lord was not pleased with this concept. He let the seer go and retreated to consider what he was going to do.
The Goal
The Dark Lord was certain that he shouldn't just give up everything he'd ever done in the face of never accomplishing his original goals. He was a might being, well versed in powerful magics and capable of great deeds.
Still, if pursuing personal power would lead to his continual downfall. Maybe he should focus his energy on helping those who were his constant foil.
That was it. He would go to a hub of Heroism and join the forces of Good. Surely in this, he would be an unparallelled success.
