Origins

For centuries the mantle of the Gray Gauntlet has been carried by several people. These people ranging from honorable Paladins, humble WWI era soldiers and random bystanders chosen by fate.

The fifth and current Gray Gauntlet is known as Andreia "Ann" Rebelo, a Starbucks Barrista working in Seattle. She fights with a very effective, if improvised, style as she has only recently been given the powers. Members of Midnight Squad currently are overseeing her combat training.

Affiliations

Since it's inception in 1933, a Gray Gauntlet has been a part of the Midnight Squad.

Powers

While clearly mystical in origin, a Gray Gauntlet's powers come from an unknown source. They posses the ability to withstand amazing amounts of damage and an innate skill for melee combat.

The Second Gray Gauntlet mediating in a field in Feudal Japan

The Third Gray Gauntlet, On Omega Team during the first Rikti Invasion
The Fourth Gray Gauntlet

After The Fall

Has returned to the fold to help the rebuilt "Midnight Society," a group of Midnight Squad survivors who now feel that operating in public is the best way to deal with the increased paranormal activity affecting the world after the use of the Dimensional Imploder to "Save" Paragon. The Midnight Society operates out of an old 1900 era bank building and continues to gather dangerous artifacts to store in the vault. However, without the budget and resources of the Squad, things are more difficult.
