The Legion is one of the sub-groups of The Paragon Universe. It's a small, core group of heroes who were the biggest and best of the solo scene. Now banded into one force, they take on some the biggest threats Paragon City has to offer.

Crack, rumble, boom.

Gila Girl slid through the cloud of dust and just made it through before the slab of concrete came crashing down. She got to her feet immediately and continued the chase. He was easy to follow, a trail of dust marked his path clearly before her. She was having a hard time keeping up.

‘Can’t be.’ Gila thought to herself. ‘I’m the fastest lizard alive.’ She quickly dodged to the left, taking a higher path. ‘He’s just throwing rubble in my path and moving all jagged. If I can stay out of his smoke trail, I’ll be able to focus and cut him off.’ Faultline’s not one for straight and easy paths.

Gila Girl kept one eye on the stranger and the other on the horizon, desperate for a bit of terrain she could use to her advantage. When you’re running over ninety miles an hour it can be difficult just keeping you’re feet straight, but she was experienced, one of the biggest solo heroes in Paragon City.

Then she saw it. A crack in the earth jutted suddenly down. Over the rise another hole opened up, just sixty feet ahead of the first. ‘I know this tunnel. I was fighting the Freaskshow in their just last week.’ She was almost positive. She took one last view of the stranger, made sure his eye was on the horizon and sprinted for the entrance.

The tunnel moved hard to the left as soon as you entered. Gila didn’t have time to look, or she would have realized this wasn’t that same freak filled cavern at all. Instead of rock and dirt she was faced with metal and wires. Something snagged her leg, she was caught off balance and went flying through the air before being engulfed by a bright light.

A moment later she hit the ground hard, but everything seemed different. It was darker, than before and everything seemed still. . . stale. Due to the lack of light she couldn’t get a feel of where she was, but it was clear it was huge. It was also clear, that things hadn’t been used in a while. Even the floor featured a thick layer of dust.

She wandered forward carefully, not knowing for sure she was alone. After a moment she found a wall of cold steel. She followed it as best she could. There were strange panels and large storage bins here and there and it all seemed so surreal. Then she stumbled across something that put the pieces together.

“I don’t believe it.” She spoke aloud as she stared up in wonder. “It’s an old Super Group issued Super Computer. Look at this thing. It’s ancient. . . like. . . 80’s ancient.” She must have stumbled into an old base portal. There were supposed to be several buried beneath Faultline, and even a few that were really held in other dimensions.

She was beside herself. She didn’t quite know what to do, but the urge to tell people suddenly swelled within her. There was no one next to her, so she turned back the way she came, and without thinking about personal safety she ran back in the direction she came. A few minor crashes later and she found the portal and was blazing across Faultline.

She didn’t stop running till she reached Super People Magazine, back in the city proper. She couldn’t wait for the elevator, the excitement had reached its peak. As she rounded the stairs and noticed she was causing a small tornado and forced herself to slow to pedestrian safe speed. It’s a good thing she did, because in her excitement she didn’t see a man step forward as he opened the stairway door.

Sixty Watt toppled over, and they both skidded into the wall in a tangle of limbs.

“Ouch.” Sixty muttered as he rubbed his head. “What’s the rush Miss?” He looked up as she started to free herself into a standing position. She swept her orange hair back once again.

“Wait a minute, I know you.” Sixty Watt smiled at her as he stood as well. “You’re Gila Girl right? Fastest gecko afoot.”

“Fastest lizard alive.” She corrected before she suddenly remembered her excitement. She looked over at the person talking to her when she realized she knew him too.

“You’re Sixty Watt! What are you doing here?” She blurted out.

“Just got done with an interview. What do you think of ‘Friggin Awesome’ as a title for it? Is that conceited of me?”

He didn’t have time to get an answer as she suddenly grabbed him and began running down the stairs at superhuman speeds.

“Youhavetocomewithmerightnowohmygawdwaittillyouseehowawesomethisis!!!!!” Gila’s lips were moving as fast as her feet as she held onto to Sixty Watt tightly and rushed toward Faultline again.

“What?!” he yelled back in a daze. Between the wind rushing past, his skin squeezing against his face and Gila’s babbling, he couldn’t make out a thing. Gila didn’t try to explain. There were no words to describe how cool the find was. It didn’t matter for in no time at all they were down the tunnel and in the old base with a crash.

“Ow!” Sixty called out jumping to his feet. “Now listen you crazy lizard person. Where are we and why did you bring me here?” He looked around for her ready for a fight.

Gila was too thrilled to notice his anger though. She moved swiftly to the old computer. “Just look!”

A spark flew out, than another and Sixty watt held up his hand, wreathed in crackling electricity. The light filled out the room revealing how large the computer really was. “Wow. . . is that-“

“Yup.” Came Gila’s immediate response. She was practically bouncing.

Sixty looked around the room a bit more before spotting something faintly in the distance. “Hold on a second.” He said before extinguishing his electric fists and wandering into the darkness. A few moments later there was the sudden sound of thunder, followed by a low hum and the lights slowly turned on as if heralding Sixty Watts return to the main computer where Gila Girl waited.

The base was even larger than expected and more run down as well. The ceiling in most areas must have been thirty feet high. The corridors ran back and around corners. Sixty Watt, turned his attention to the computer.

“You think it will work?” Gila asked hopefully.

“I don’t know.” He said looking things over. “We may need some help.”

Gila Girl’s mind raced at the possibilities present within. She looked back at Sixty then at the base again.

“You’re right Sixty Watt.” She said suddenly calm. “We’re gonna have to recruit the best heroes of the solo game and form a team impressive enough to make this base proud again.”

Sixty Watt turned with a raised eyebrow. “Is that what I said?” He seemed skeptical. He usually wasn’t one for long shots and charity work.

“Come on Sixty Watt!” Called Gila. “Think about it. We have the resources. Between me and you, we could get all sorts of heroes behind us. Don’t you want to be part of something. Think of the glory.”

Sixty Watt was doubtful.

“Think of the good.”

He began trying to remember where the door was.

“Think of the fame!”

‘Fame eh?’ He thought to himself. “Ok, you got my attention. What do you intend to call this group of yours?”

Gila turned around towards the blinking Super Computer. She noticed some writing covered with dust in the corner. She pushed it away revealing a make and model. It was an SG-Legion-3200.

“The Legion.”
