Introduction

Put quite simply, Iden is a wannabe villain. From her youngest memories at the right-hand side of her older sister Eive, huddled by a bonfire on Darwin's Landing, she'd wanted to be like the criminals all around her. That lust for power and acknowledgement struck her hard, and with no real education beyond what Eive had taught her as a surrogate mother, she had very few options for her future.

Losing her sister on a pitch black night at the age of nine, Iden spent the next several years a malnourished orphan on her own, relying on gangs throughout the Isles. Things picked up for her when she hit the age of fourteen, the demand for F-13 grew, and many of the warring gangs all wanted in on the profit. Her small, child size and unassuming appearance made her the perfect runner, eluding Longbow, RIP and Arachnos alike with her 'back-of-her-hand' knowledge of Mercy's layout, hiding spots and shortcuts. Her natural ability to hide in plain sight had played a major role too, no doubt.

Of course, being surrounded by cartels, mafia and addicts rubbed off, and Iden succumbed to the stories of F-13's miraculous superpower-unlocking effects. The stories of mutants whose powers manifested in a time of great significance had her baffled for so long, unable to wrap her head around why the same hadn't happened for her when she lost her sister, and why she couldn't have done a thing to help. The first pill had done nothing more than a sugar pill would, but she was certain it had an effect. One pill became two, two became further than she could count at the time, sure enough, she was hooked.

Eventually, Iden was sure of herself enough to venture to the local hangout of the Metahumans and otherworldly, Pocket D. From the moment she set foot inside, her life of Villainy was finally on the right path. As fate would have it, Iden met the adopted daughter of cartel leader James Parker, the man himself, and the leader of an ally mercenary group, Nic Williams. Quickly befriending them, Iden was provided with a tough decision: Which would she join? Being the gullible, lust-following teenager she was, Iden followed Parkers daughter Luna like a lovesick puppy.

Though it all paid off in the long run.
