Paragon Institute, The

The Paragon Institute is a supergroup devoted to instilling a moral and ethical awareness in the newly arrived heroes to Paragon City. The Paragon Institute operates out of several floors of the Knight Towers, a skyscraper in Skyway City.

History
The Paragon Institute was the brain child of Doc Atom, and funded by the combined wealth of Sacred Knight and the Lord of Frost. Originally, Disco-Inferno was the main recruiter, responsible for the signing of such original members as Mr. Arcane, Texas Inferno, D'Monica, and Moon Shine.
The Paragon Institute was formed as an academy, a training ground of sorts, where heroes new to Paragon City could not only learn the basic skills involved in crime fighting and urban combat, but also the moral and ethical considerations that go along with 'putting on a cape.'
Under Sacred Knight's leadership, the Institute began instituting programs that sought to further spread the name recognition of all heroes involved with the Institute. As Sacred Knight has said, "Being a paragon of virtue and honor means little, if no one knows what you have done." Coincidentally, contacts with various media organizations are very carefully fostered under Sacred Knight's leadership.
Relations with Other Supergroups
While Sacred Knight was on sabbatical in the Europe, the affairs of the Institute were managed by the off-worlder Suntouched. During his tenure as leader, name recognition was once again a primary objective, but name recognition of a different sort. Rather than seeking the favor of the media, Suntouched sought to further the Institute's recognition amongst it's peers. The charming hero managed to secure alliances with powerful technological and mystical groups. The Paragon Institue maintains these alliances to this day and is currently coalitioned with Sapphire Dawn, Servants of Prime, and Elements of Foundation.
The Institute
The Institute is located in the Skyway City district of Paragon City, ME.
Notes
Currently, the Paragon Institute does not maintain any sole leadership position. It is governed by a Board of Directors made up of Sacred Knight, Suntouched, Disco-Inferno, Lord of Frost, Doc Atom, and Fey Queen. The Paragon Institute is becoming more and more focused on the destruction of The Crime League, a shadowy villainous organization operating out of the Rogue Isles.
