From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
Resistance was created as a Tanker for roughly ten minutes, long enough to get screenshots. His creation was to give the Reciprocators a little extra colour, and to explain what Black Starbeam had been doing with his time while not in the field.
Resistance has an artificial personality, and is conditioned to respond to the moods of those around him. He generally responds to situations with a very businesslike attitude.
Resistance acts as a research assistant for the Reciprocators, providing dossiers on Artifacts, Places, Enemy Groups and other heroes on request. Furthermore, he performs computer work for those heroes who require assistance due to their powers, such as basic internet searches and field report submission. He also acts in this capacity for the Shield of Paragon, when his assistance is requested. He also works to maintain the library at the Citadel of Defiance.
Resistance has no real powers of his own, apart from those granted by his robotic nature. These powers include durability and strength beyond that of a normal human.
Construction on Resistance began in early January 2007, and he was completed a month later. He was created by Black Starbeam in an attempt to fill in some time while without his powers. Along with his brother, Justice, the two assist the Reciprocators with mundane duties, including maintaining each other.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Resistance was not programmed to self-repair so if both he and Justice are critically injured at the same time, they will require outside intervention to repair.
Resistance is not played by any one person, and does not exist on the server at all. It is up to people to interact with him in forum posts, and in their emotes to declare that he is present. He can be used as a Deus Ex Machina for those who need a reason for their character to know something, but have no way of them finding it out. Asking Resistance is essentially a means to an end when writing a story.
