Schoolgirl and disruptor of Destiny, Tokiha Mai fought her way through a horrific magical ritual in Japan and defeated those who sought to profit from it. Now she's in Paragon City to start over fresh, and perhaps find some of her lost companions.

Personality
Mai is an open and affectionate person with those she considers friends, and is particularly devoted to her younger brother Takumi. She has an almost maternal aspect at times, but it's rarely blatant. She has a strong sense of what is "proper" by Japanese standards and mores, although she is by no means a "traditional" Japanese girl.
She has a keen, logical mind, which has served her well in recent years. She also possesses a firm moral sense, again informed by Japanese standards. While not normally given to anger, she can still be pushed enough to enter almost a berserker rage, as one villain has already found out to his detriment. In stark contrast to the extreme of temper to which she can be driven, she has an almost impish sense of humor and playfulness.
Underlying everything, though, is a will of iron. Once Tokiha Mai has set her mind to a task, nothing will stop her.
Powers
Mai has total control of the mystical elemental nature of Fire.
She also has the ability to fly, which is a byproduct of her elemental fire control in some manner that is not as yet understood. She has also learned to combine her flight and careful use of body mass to generate a devastating blow that can knock foes off their feet and other flyers out of the air.
Abilities
Mai is a skilled cook, adept with Japanese cuisine and capable of adapting easily to other cultures' styles.
She possesses an absolutely indomitable iron will that has often allowed her to overcome obstacles that by all rights should have broken her.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Mai is easily flustered by unconventional behavior (as measured by Japanese standards), and may lose her focus and become distracted.
Equipment
Mai currently carries a Pocket D VIP Pass, a police band radio, and a small jump pack, and has temporary use of a sky pirate flight pack. Because she has an inherent flight power, she rarely uses either of the latter two, although she's learned that the jump pack can act as a kind of "afterburner" to temporarily supercharge her flight speed.
