History
The Beginning
Fox awoke on a beach. He didn't understand why he was there or how he got there. Just that he was there. He wore a very badly damaged suit of leather armor. He made his way up the beach only to be apprehended by a group of Arbiter's on patrol. They demanded identification and with none, he was taken in. After extensive tests and research he was given an identification card and sent on his way. He struggled to survive, reading the card over and over and not understanding any of this. Then he discovered his powers. A group of snakes attacked him suddenly and he, in a desperate attempt to survive, fought back, his hands bursting into ethereal flames with which he threw at the snakes, killing them. He sat after the fight and removed his belt, checking through the pouches. That's when he found a coin-necklace with a fox's head on one side and a strange rune on the other. He looked to the beach and saw the sun setting and it was then he decided his moniker. 'Twilight's Fox'
Kalinda
After deciding on his name, he volunteered to begin fighting for Kalinda. At first it was difficult for him, as he had little control over his powers and sometimes injured himself, but he soon learned to harness his powers. As his strength grew, a pair of runes appeared on his gauntlets. He theorized the runes were there to strengthen his bond to the field of energy he was attached to. As he grew stronger, he began to recall memories. His first few were simple sensations. Wind on his face. The smell of cherry-scented smoke. Then he saw things in his dreams. One green eye and one blue eye. The sound of water running through a cave. Red hair. A long white coat.
Something wasn't matching up. As far as he knew he had just been spat out of hell. It was then he started hearing words of his past, but one stuck out in particular. Kharlia. He set out to find any information on it and found a book 'Tales of Valikorlia; Beneath the Rising Sun'. He bought the book and began reading it obsessively, finding that word almost immediately. In the book it was the name of the continent the nation of Valikorlia was on. He finished the book, feeling enlightened about it until he read the back, describing the work as fiction.
He was devastated by this and put the book away, going back to fighting for Kalinda. The day came that he was no longer needed by Kalinda and he was sent to find Mongoose.
Learning to Fly
He fought hard for Mongoose, making sure he was pleased with his work. He learned many new skills with his powers. During a vicious battle with a snake on a rooftop, he was thrown off. Surely falling to his death he braced himself for impact when suddenly he stopped falling. He felt as if he was surrounded by water, but could still breathe. His eyes opened and he found himself hovering, much to the amazement of the snakes. He rushed forward and defeated the snakes soundly. With his newly found mode of transport, he began searching wider areas for signs of his past. Images of a black obelisk began appearing in his dreams, though these dreams quickly became nightmares. The Obelisk haunted him at night and intrigued him during the daylight. It was time for him to learn of his past.
Final Redemption
After a mission for Mongoose, Fox took a rest on a small debris pile when he caught sight of three figures talking amongst themselves. One was a large male wearing black and orange armor. The second looked similar to an Arachnos soldier, with four large mechanical arms coming from his back. The final was a slight woman with a scarred face. Curious, he went forward and was confronted by the man in black armor. They made it be known quickly that they were with a powerful villain group. Fox was interested immediately, knowing that power could provide him with answers. He and one of the apparent leaders began some banter, much to the amusement of the woman, who was the commander of the group and went by the name Black Heart Machine. After a bit of arguing his case, he was accepted into the group and given to the charge of Marcus Flavius and Point Spider.
He was given standing orders to create chaos, and create chaos he did, waging a full frontal assault on the city of Mercy's gangs and miscreants by himself. When all was said and done he was taken to Final Redemption's base in orbit above the earth. He walked around the station a bit by himself before going to bed, preparing to begin his missions for the next day.
The Twin
After a particularly strenuous mission, Fox went to the Pocket D to get himself a drink. He was later confronted by a young blonde woman and a male with black hair. The woman began pestering him and quickly drove Fox to the edge, finally snapping at her, he demanded to know what was going on and what she wanted.
She knew him. Refusing to believe this, Fox began to walk away. The girl, who called herself Vandalist, then said to him "Does the word Kharlia mean anything to you?" He paused, looking back at the woman with an annoyed expression. She removed her sunglasses, showing her eyes. Fox's blood chilled. The eyes were dual colored. One blue. One Green. Just like his dreams. The two began conversing and finally, after much talk, Vandalist revealed her name, Memory Xxian. The name Xxian struck Fox as well. As the talk went on, the two spoke of the cave Fox remembered, then the cherry smoke.
Memory's father smoked cherry cigarettes and wore a white coat. Their mother had red hair and green eyes. The two stared at one another and Memory, finally determined to find out what was going on, removed Fox's mask. The girl was shocked by what she saw. Twilight's Fox was her long-missing twin, Aimes Xxian.
The two exchanged contact information and parted, Fox, now confidently calling himself Aimes, returned to base, fully prepared to force his way forward and learn what happened to him that sent him to a different world completely.
Personality
Fox, now known as Aimes, is a confident, strong willed individual with a bit of a smart mouth. He shows this often by throwing playful barbs at his superiors in Final Redemption and very sharp quips during battle. He learns very quickly, despite being from another world, he has already learned the basics of modern technology.
Abilities
Aimes has strong magical abilities of unknown origin. He is able to fire a powerful magical energy similar to fire from his hands and at concentrated levels use dark energy to levitate himself as well as heal himself and others around him.
Aside from magic, Aimes is apparently an accomplished hand fighter, though his attacks lack some power due to his oddly weakened state. Aimes is also quick on his feet, though far from being the fastest. Aimes is able to stay in one spot for long periods of time, keeping completely still. This attribute has helped him both evade and ambush adversaries too strong for him to normally face off with and win.
