A runaway from Le Cirque Lunatique, this strange, quiet little girl left that collective of gifted performers after the Cirque's recent engagement in Paragon City. Night after night, after the show, she would slip away to slink through the shadows of the City of Heroes and secretly observe the daring feats of its defenders. She had been trained since the age of four to push her body beyond most human limits, but always to the purpose of entertainment -- seeing people with gifts greater and more baffling than her own use those talents to better the world lit a fuse within her soul.
Inspired by the heroes she watched, she now uses her understanding of her own body's operation to strike with gentle but irresistible force, and to discern her opponent's every physical intent so that she can elude their strikes with her uncanny acrobatic prowess.

Abilities
Pressure Point Striking
Vivre's knowledge of her own body's abilities informs the weak but nevertheless precise and effective strikes that make up her arsenal. With just a tap of her toes between the correct ribs, a brush of her heel along the jaw at just the right angle, her extensive understanding of how each part of the human body interacts with the rest allows her to incapacitate men many times her size. She utilizes this knowledge to force her opponents to hurl themselves into more injurious predicament in their effort to avoid the pain of the instant.
Contortion & Acrobatics
Vivre has been trained since the age of four to bend, contort, compress and stretch her body far beyond the limits of most human beings; coupling this with the extensive gymnastic training she has undergone for her performances in Le Cirque Lunatique, she now moves with a fluid and frightening grace and flexibility even while under attack. As with her offense, it is her knowledge of her own body's nuances that allows her to understand the intent of criminals before they strike and elude their every blow with evasions that seem miraculous and mystifying in their prescience.
Background
Personality
Vivre is shy and sensitive, but also playful and enigmatic, detached from the real world but still delighted by the reaction she receives from other people when she entertains or rescues them. Though she may seem to live in her own little world, she is very attentive, taking in and storing all the little details people let slip in her presence.
Aphasia
Vivre is affected by a fairly severe case of expressive aphasia -- though she understands much of what others say, and in fact understands a great deal of any Taiwanese, Chinese, French, or English spoken in her presence, she is incapable of forming sentences in any of those languages. Her vocabulary of spoken words consists of only a few very common words, most often voiced in French. She will often resort to innovative pantomimes to communicate a complex idea, if she has the time, but if there is an emergency she may become too frustrated or panicked to offer more than an unintelligible scream or growl of urgency.
Player Notes
- I'm not married to the name, but I've been sitting on this concept pretty much since I started playing this game and finally just went with Vivre so I could start playing it.
- Obviously inspired by Cirque du Soleil
- I'm a little annoyed by the fact that the concept calls for me to reuse a large portion of Gx the Space Gremlin's build, but I'm finding ways to differentiate the play style as I go.
- Not such a valid complaint now that I have a 50 Kat/SR and 32 SS/SR in addition to Gx :P
- Finally got around to rerolling her onto my main account since my second one's been largely defunct since purchasable slots came around.
