Freyja is an old school role player who seems to remember being involved in some nasty trap filled dungeon runs in the TSR "Gamma World" at roughly age 10.
Since then I've owned D&D basic through immortals, got into AD&D only when it went to 2nd edition. Loved all the Forgotten Realms novels and completely didn't care about the dragonlance series. Left AD&D just about when the planescape and desert world and all the collectible card games started coming out and officially stopped caring completely when 3rd edition/wotc hit.
I played magic the gathering until it became apparent that they were going to keep coming out with more and more expansion packs and I suddenly realized I was trapped in a pokemon like existence from which I had to escape cold turkey.
After that switched to cyberpunk 2020 for about a month, eh choombatta? Then picked up Heroes Unlimited in 1984. Ninjas and Superspies followed. Switched to Palladium:Rifts, and followed that until the seige on Tolkeen. Enjoyed FF7, FF8, stopped caring about FF until FFXI, which I quit after 70 levels of barding...
All told going on 21 years of role playing experience.
