Game Related
I've been online since before the public inception of the Internet. So I've watched the evolution of it and the devolution of society as a result. You know its true, so I won't go into it here. Ultimately, here's my opinion about Internet life:

As for online gaming, well my first online games were chess, spades and bones. Of course during that same time I satiated my role playing thirst with the P'n'P games. Then as my gaming groups dispersed to the corners of the globe, I found PBeM and PBP RPing. Unfortunately, there were very few games that lasted any length of time, so I was left with my own voices. From there I migrated through the various online FPS and RTS genres until I stumbled on NWN. Suddenly, my RPing was satisfied with the various persistent worlds that community created. From there it was a short leap into the MMOs.
Unlike most, I never once touched EQ. SWG was my first--come on, you know you always wanted to be a Jedi unless of course you prefered the phaser. After awhile in the galaxy far, far away I stumbled into Paragon City for a free trial and became immediately addicted after all what self-respecting RPer didn't have comics? From there I got unplugged--didn't make it that far out of beta, though; hit the endless grind in Azeroth--not sure I'll ever be going back though I'm tempted; tried D&D Online--but couldn't get into that setting I needed Gand... uhm, Eliminster and Drizzt; FFXI--better as a RPG than a MMO IMO; and a few others, but ultimately the call of the tights has always been greater.
So, I'm here because I love being the Superhero... and the Supervillain. My only regret is that I let my subscription lapse as I tried other games 'cause the vet rewards are sweet.
Non-Game Related
As for me personally, well much like the principle of Yin Yang, I exist in perpetual conflict seeking balance in all I am. Beyond that if you really have to know you can ask. But do me two favors before you do:
- Make sure you really want to know 'cause I'll tell ya.
- Don't ask me nothing you ain't willing to answer 'cause that's the quickest way to end all communication between us.

Occassionally, I'll post something here that I need to voice. Read it or don't. Love it or Hate it. It makes no difference to me 'cause I'm voicing it to get it out my head not to meet your approval.
