History
Memory Xxian's life has always been a bit...different than the norm. Born to an elvish mother with a human father, she was an oddball the moment that she was brought into the world. Luckily for her, she was not alone -- Memory came to the world in a bundle with her fraternal twin, Aimes Xxian.
The Memory Xxian from the start was much different than the girl everyone knows her as - Vandy. She was quiet, and shy. She had only one friend growing up, aside from her brother. A true Daddy's girl, Memory loved everything about her father. He was the one she turned to anytime she had a problem. He was, for the time that he was around, the only person she could rely on. Her twin filled the male role in her life, just as she did the female presence in his when their parents were gone... Which was the majority of their childhood.
Fighting and racism -- even from her elvish kin! -- was something that always existed in Memory's life. The Seanchanni, the elven tribe that Memory and her twin were born into, held a bitter rivalry toward the human kingdom. The rivalry was a little more than simple dislike or disagreement. They downright hated each other. Right at the peak of Memory's adolescence, 16 years old, it was full out war. Bounties had been put on the elves, and humans mysteriously vanished in their dark forests...
Aside from the rampaging war, a Demon had begin to plague the earth, and when he brought his fight to the elves, Memory's mother and father greeted him with weapons drawn. Unlike the human kingdoms, the elves would not tolerate his mischief. Into a nether world* he threw the family -- Memory, her mother, her father, her brother..
What happened next would forever devastate Memory; the demon sliced right through her father, and when he turned toward her, he lunged. What this demon didn't expect, however, was that her brother, who sacrificed himself to save her. Ambushed from aside by an enraged mother, the demon recoiled and in an explosion both women were thrown aside and into different realms.
- The 'nether world' is known as the Shard in today's society.

Michael Bain - The greatest lessons Vandy has learned in life, it has been through Michael Bain. Regardless if he's aware of the fact. When their friendship first developed while in Black Tie, through trial, error and teamwork, their friendship developed into something deeper. When they split some six months later, Memory returned home. It was here that she learned that love didn't stop as time passes, or when you live in different places, or when someone is gone. And that's how it was -- and still is -- with Memory and Michael.
Tony Leighton - Vandy does not consider Tony Leighton a friend anymore. He is a brother. He has done little more than look out for her since she came to this era. She considers herself lucky, because she wouldn't be who, or where she was without his guidance...At first, anyway. The two of them have been through so much together. Tony is one out of two people she would voluntarily take a bullet for.
Bad Dream - From day one the relationship between Vandy and Bad Dream has been sketchy. One moment they're at odds, and the next they're making amends, and Vandy's promising to be a better soldier. Out of her entire life, Bad Dream, in both positive and negative lights, has been the only constant. In the bitter end of every situation she's ever been through, Bad Dream has been the only person to turn to in the end, even when he is pulling her back to the isles kicking and screaming. Is he intentionally isolating her options? It's a possibility, and if such is the case, she hasn't caught on, and it's played out well into his hands. Recently, Vandy has devoted herself to Bad Dream and his cause. Some speculate and suggest that the relationship between Vandy and Bad Dream is very similar to a father and daughter.

- Vandy can, does, and will speak Elvish. It isn't uncommon for her to go off in some chain of curses involving the ancient language.
