History
Chicago West Side
Vincent "Vinni" Romandini was born in Chicago's West Side to Alessio and Lucrezia Romandini. His father ran Roman's, a hole in the wall diner near Garfield Park, with the help of the his mother. It was a popular dining spot for notable mafioso as his grandfather was the current "Don" and when the Don's kid is that good of a cook, you eat there.
The Outfit
As far back as the family can remember, they've been part of the Chicago Outfit. Not only that, they have always been prominent members as well; almost everyone in the family are "made men". Most of the family has been split up, following ventures both in and around Chicago, and elsewhere in the US. Though most of the money is made from skimming the casinos, they still follow many of the traditional rackets to make income as well.
Moving Up
The Vizent Group
The Vizent Group is a real estate and entertainment conglomerate that owns a number of resort hotel and casinos all over the world. It was created when Vincent Estate Managment merged with Star Entertainment in the early 90s. Star Entertainment was a front for the Romandinis that owned a couple casinos in Las Vegas, and knowning they would need a more legitimate company to buy out more casinos. Vincent Zimmerman, the then owner of Vincent Estate Management, jumped at the offer, the greedy bastard that he was. The name comes from the the initials of Vincent Ian Zimmerman (VIZ) and the beginning of Entertainment (ENT), and thus the Vizent Group was born.
With Vinni's natural talent with gambling to begin with, and his skill with numbers, he was a shoe-in to run the company's books. He was hired on as their CFO to "cook the books" and keep the skim going. Though he is currently living in the Rogue Isles overseeing the operations of the Vizent owned casinos in St. Martial, he is still the CFO and fulfils his duties as need be.
