Personality

Having the singled-mindedness of any machine but with a highly sophisticated AI that learns at astonishing rates. Warp-Blade is more likely to observe than interact and will only step in if he perceives a threat to himself. He's quickly learning how and why humans behave the way they do and is adapting to compensate for his own lack of emotions.

Origin

Warp-Blade was a new prototype in a long series of failures being developed by a major weapons manufacturer that supplies groups like MALTA, The Council, and Arachnos. Having influenced the design for each of these groups mechanized sections, this unnamed weapons manufacturer set out to create the ultimate unmaned fighting machine. Previous to Warp-Blade, all attempts resulted in either highly unpredictable behavior or a too simplistic nature. Warp-Blade was a break through in artificial intelligence and would be able to adapt to any situation on the fly. His primary functions were to obey the commands given to him and preserve himself.

Having no commands to follow, Warp-Blade instantly recognized that any future commands would place him in danger and fled from the research facility immediately while severing any uplinks that might try to reprogram him remotely. His cloaking system and powered armor gave him everything he would need to survive on his own. His main priority now was to avoid recapture any threats that would put him directly into harms way.

The Thief

Warp-Blade had calculated the possible threats and consequences of robbing the hardware store. The chance of being caught was a low to medium risk which was acceptable given the possible upgrades he could create from such high quality components. It had taken several attempts to locate the proper hardware store, discovering that humans were prone to give words multiple meanings and placed such stores were the traffic of the target consumers was poor to non-existent.

Warp-Blade had figured that the store would have low tech security systems and estimated a fifteen minute operation time. What Warp-Blade didn't know, was that this particular store was quite popular amongst the heroes in Talos Island for selling off their unwanted goods. And what was meant to be an easy task became the hardest one Warp-Blade had ever faced.

The Assassin

One hundred and eighty six days, two hundred and forty three minutes, and fifty eight seconds within the Zigursky prison saw Warp-Blade out again. The Paragon Police Department had placed Warp-Blade in a magnetically sealed cell until further action could be decided upon. But due to Arachnos and its Destined Ones project, Warp-Blade was liberated before anyone decided on dismantling him. Warp-Blade had calculated what he would need to do before they even had his doors open. He knew that humans would expect something for the risk they had taken and also knew that if they had the ability to break into a maximum security prison that they would also have the ability to destroy him. He followed the orders given to him so he could be extracted, killing and maiming anyone who got in his way.

Once within the Rogue Isles, Warp-Blade followed the way of his other freed captives in performing mindless duties for Arachnos. Having figured on the organization's willingness to protect any and all assets it considered to own, Warp-Blade began to take greater risks with himself.

The Student

Warp-Blade has made several attempts at learning human behavior for the sake of reducing the risk to himself in certain situations and has found that the best way to study it is to witness various humans and their reactions to certain situations. Warp-Blade is coming to understand the importance humans place on relationships but still has trouble understanding its finer points. With no real personality of his own for humans to identify with, Warp-Blade has found it hard to observe human behavior on a more refined level. He hopes to correct this soon.

Powers

Warp-Blade is a technological wonder with super human strength, speed, physical resistance, and lightning fast processing power. He is capable of moving at high speeds and can blend into his surroundings. He's constantly on the look out for any components that might be useful in upgrading himself with. His biggest weaknesses are his determination to survive and will flee if he perceives any threat to himself that he can not handle and any extremely high discharges of electricity that would overlord his circuits.

Description

Preferring to keep his stealth ability active almost all the time, Warp-Blade is more likely to be heard than seen. Since he was not built with the ability to speak, Warp-Blade has retrofitted an old radio into is head. Although he's able to convey what he wants, most people find his 'voice' to be grating or a bit unnerving.
