Wild Surge
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe
If everything seems under control, you're just not going fast enough. - Mario Andretti
When Eric Romero was little he had a facination for electric appliances and sticking things into sockets. His parents were a wreck trying to keep the child from killing himself or burning down the house. Little did they know he was simply being drawn to the power that already surged through his veins. As Wild Surge, he is a human dynamo, and a fierce, fast talking opponent of the gangs of his native Kings Row.

The Early Years
The Young Champions
Wild Surge was one of the founding class of the teen hero group "The Young Champions". Internal struggles with his unspoken attraction for Mercury Prime and personality conflicts with the team healer, Verte Virtue lead to his leaving and joining the team Urban Development
Urban Development
After nearly a year of membership, Wild Surge left The Young Champions to join the team "Urban Development", a group of like minded urban heroes who didn't follow the rules, didn't play the book and didn't (in Eric's perception) over think stumbling blocks. Unfortunately, their fast and loose policies led to a series of disasterous events that culminated with the disolution of the team, and many members of the Urbs joining the Young Champions. Although his feelings for Mercury Prime and the conflict between himself and Verte Virtue were long resolved, Eric wasn't comfortable with the restriction and structure of the organization and struck out on his own.

Inspiration (OOC Information)

It is notable that when created, he had been a blaster, but after multiple tries and absolute dissapointment in an Electric/Electric Blaster, when I came back in late 2011, I copied his costumes and recreated him as a electric Electric Brute, citing him maturing and becoming more proficient with his powers. It has been far more fun.
