Vickie Yun: First off, congratulations on making the latest Top 100 Strongest, Winterborn - and without showing up on the Up And Coming. How do you feel about that?
Achieved, really.
VY: Really? The last hero I had to ask that was hurt that it took us that long to notice them.
I wasn't really trying to get noticed. At least until Vanguard sought me out, I didn't really do much high-profile stuff. I was okay just being me. Helping where I can.
Thank God they left out all the 'uhs' and 'wells'. Must have been half of what I said.
VY: And how did that work out?
It had its ups and downs--
"Get-- get your hands off me, you freak! Help!"
--but I feel I've helped. I'm not in this for the glory. I just want to help people. However I can, powers or no.
VY: Is that why decided to not even bother with maintaining a secret identity?
Not really. That was more me realizing that with my hair and skintone, I couldn't really hide who I am, and I wasn't really thinking about retaliation or nothing like that.
