Reporter Dirk Sunder here with an interview from one of this city's more interesting new faces, Xagger! As some of you may have heard already, Xagger is not a native of this fine city, but in fact a Vampire! I know it is hard to believe that he didn't kill me during the interview, but perhaps by the end of this exclusive you may understand why I was able to walk away from such an event.

Xagger's Interview

Dirk : Now Xagger, you say that you have come to Paragon to help its hero's, Forgive me but I believe I am not the only one more than a little dubious of your reasons for being here.

Xagger : Well Dirk, I agreed to this interview to set the facts straight about why I am here. I have been sent as a sort of good will ambassador for my clan. While this does bring a certain risk against the other clans, I am hoping that relations between Vampires and Humans will improve due to my presence here.

Dirk : So, you're not going to kill me?

Xagger : *Laughs* Now how would that make people like us more? No, Most of my clan don't even drink human blood these days, we can get by well enough eating the same as you! We use animals for survival now.

Dirk : So you would have us believe that there are factions of Vampires, some of which we should fear, and others we should befriend?

Xagger : Is it so hard to believe? There are many different kinds of people in this world, Vampires are not so different. Let me ask you a question. What is the difference between a Priest and a Terrorist in your world? Most people would say it simply comes down to the ideals of the individual.

Dirk : Well then looking through my notes, Are you really over 300 years old? That has to have changed your perspective on things in this world a little bit. Tell me how you want to aid Paragon, and why it should greet you with open arms.

Xagger : Well Dirk, I am not expecting my stay here to be easy. I am hoping that some people out there can see through the age old perception that Vampires are inherently "Evil" Quite simply we are just another creature much like humans. It is true, We have a little more strength than the average human, and in the past some of the more unscrupulous of us have abused that strength. However, In this modern world, If we do not attempt to co-exist with humanity, we will more than likely be destroyed by it.

Dirk : So you are here for self preservation? Not to aid the people of Paragon like you previously stated?

Xagger : That is not the only reason for my being here, but it would be a lie to say it's not part of it. Yes, Our continued survival depends on us co-existing with the human race, instead of warring with you. However, I am here also to aid in the protection of this city which has recently become my home as well.

Dirk : There have been reports of your actions with a miss Ivory Mender recently. Can you comment on your relationship with this human heroine?

Xagger : Ivory has been a great help in establishing my good intentions amongst other heroes of this city. She has really adopted my cause as her own. Without her, I doubt I would have made it this far. It helps to show people and example of what Vampire and Human co-existance can really achieve.

Dirk : Still, some sources claim that you and Miss Mender are more than just allies in your cause. That you have entered an interspecies relationship. This news, if true, would be upsetting to many of our readers who are just now trying to get use to the fact that they shouldn't flee at the sight of Vampires.

Xagger : What Ivory and I may do in our personal time is none of your, or the worlds, concern. Can we keep this Interview to the subject at hand?

Dirk : Then you admit there is something between you two?

Xagger : I think you have enough for you article. We are done here Mr. Sunder, Farewell.

Relations

Xagger is an elusive mark when it has come to us following him, Somehow vanishing when he notices we are tailing him. However regardless of this fact, we have come across evidence that may prove his relationship with a human female by the hero name of Ivory Mender! Seen here accompanying Xagger at Pocket D!

Little is known about Miss Mender outside of her heroic exploits! She is often seen accompanying Xagger And has often been heard expressing her fondness of the Vampiric Hero. Although no one we spoke to would comment on her aside from stating that she is perhaps the most caring individual in Paragon City. This reported is still convinced there is something between these two, a forbidden romance perhaps? But without more proof, I am limited to merely speculation.

Miss Mender came from a rough childhood with parents who didn't seem to accept her gift as well as the rest of the populace has since her induction into the Hero's of paragon city. Would this be a reason she would throw her lot in with a creature of darkness? Even one as polite as Xagger. I can't help but think there may be some ulterior motives behind her acquaintance with him, What would drive a human to act so carelessly around a predator like that?

Is Xagger using her to save face with the humans he so seeks to impress? What would drive this predator of the night to join forces with a simple girl like Ivory Mender? We can all agree that Miss Mender is an astounding hero of our City, but Xagger is not an innocent who needs saving. Why would he waste his time with her if there wasn't something he or perhaps his clan would get out of it?

Bringing me to my next point on this supposed couple, Would the leaders of The Dragosani Clan agree with his choice in friends? Taking a human like Ivory Mender with him everywhere he goes. Did they encourage this? Is this the reason behind his fondness for her? Or is he doing this outside of their knowledge? If there is another representative from this clan of "Friendly" vampires out there, I would ask to speak with you about this matter.
