Personality
Due to past psychological trauma and the various things she has done during a vengeful rampage, (See Character History) Yukiyo has reverted to a strange childlike personality. She looks at the world with the eyes of a child and let’s her curiosity run rampant, often stopping in the middle of missions to examine whatever has attracted her attention.
Presumably due to her magical upbringing, Yukiyo is unable to understand even the most basic technological principle. This does not stop her from curiously observing any device that attracts her attention, often breaking it in the process.
Due to her partly demonic nature, Yukiyo has a very extreme personality, often jumping from an emotion to another with little warning, though enthusiasm and curiosity are the most frequent.
Past experience have given Yukiyo an intense hatred of traitors and, if her temper rises to excessive levels, Yukiyo has been known to temporarily forget her personal oath to “Never act like that ever again” and seemingly change personality entirely, often with severe consequences for the cause of her anger.
Powers
Yukiyo is the magical equivalent of a genetically engineered super soldier with an artificially induced affinity for fire.
Fire Blasts
Yukiyo’s favourite battle tactic is to lob excessive amounts of firepower at her enemies until they stop fighting.
Fire Manipulation
Although mainly offensive, Yukiyo does have a few spells more defensive in nature, though most of those still cause harm to their victims.
Additional Powers
Yukiyo has several non combat spells ranging from odd to the just plain silly. A spell that is popular after combat is Morgen’s Calming Massage spell that, as it’s name implies, gives a massage to a person of the caster’s choice.
Flight
After several failed attempts (which gave her the reputation of liking to jump off of buildings, though she still does it so she might) Yukiyo has found a few reliable ways to keep herself in the air and move around with acceptable speed.
Fitness
Due to her inhuman nature, Yukiyo is in better shape than the average human.
Abilities
Yukiyo is, above all, a very skilled mage with a wide knowledge of various types of magic and spells. Her curiosity also give her a wide but shallow knowledge of various subjects.
Weaknesses and Limitations
Yukiyo is, for reasons that escape all attempts at identification, completely unable to understand technology. In fact, Yukiyo seems to have the instinctive ability to break almost any device she touches.
Although able of flight, Yukiyo has little skill at it and is often knocked out of the skies by enemies, allies, birds and gusts of wind.
Last but not least, although a skilled mage, Yukiyo has very little skill at physical combat and is quick to be defeated at close range.
Equipment
Yukiyo owns a small jump-pack that she had broken several times. It has been magically put together so often by Yukiyo that it would probably be classified as a magical artefact if studied. This frequent breaking and repairing has caused it to become unreliable, only being usable once in a while and only for short periods of time.
She also owned, for a time, a police band scanner but has broken it and hasn’t managed to repair it yet. For now, she usually gets a replacement from the police contacts whenever she needs one. She has, single-handedly, caused the PPD to go over budget last year.
Character History
Born in the village of Doshead in the Aetorian Kingdom to a family of enchanters, Yukiyo was destined to greatness almost from her first breath. Her teachers were all impressed by the speed and ease with which Yukiyo accumulated knowledge, she was popular amongst everyone and she had attracted the attention of the Aetorian Royal Academy of Magic and Mysticism’s Archmage.
However, disaster struck when Mudo, Captain of the defense outpost near Doshead, was bribed into opening the magical barrier that prevented the nearby Mactorian empire from invading. The village of Doshead was first to be burnt to the ground, but not the last and Yukiyo was mortally wounded while crying in grief.
As she died, Kuai’ Bo, a demon, came and offered her power and vengeance in exchange of her future servitude and she accepted. After her death and subsequent rebirth, Yukiyo went on a vengeful rampage of fire and blood across the former Aetorian Kingdom and the Mactorian Empire, casting death and destruction open sinners and innocents alike.
An example of her personality during that period of her life can be found in the rogue isles in the person of the Praetorian Yukiyo.
One day, as she looked at a child grieving for his recently dead parents, Yukiyo realised what she had become and the horror she felt at that moment shattered what was left of her already fragile sanity, leaving behind it the person that is now known as Yukiyo.
Her vengeance being accomplished, Yukiyo was brought to hell for her to begin her duty as Hell’s version of the various magical champions of the light. Oddly enough, this duty often took the form of law enforcement and of hunting down escapees and un-authorized incursion to the mortal lands.
She and her colleagues have recently been sent to Paragon City and the Rogue Isles to investigate the large amount of demon summoning in the area.
