Who is Zap Shock?
Lisa Gray
Zap Shock's real name is Lisa Gray, and it isn't really a secret, nor known thing. She comes from an Extra-Dimensional Planet called Hel'Dor. She looks and functions (almost) like a human, and acts like a human - save her alien blood.
Zap Shock comes from a very peaceful world, until the Rikti went and attacked it. Most people were killed, some were captured and enslaved - Lisa was one of them. When the Rikti finally came to Earth during the first Invasion, Lisa managed to escape from the Mothership, and ended up in the zone now called "Outbreak". Defending all she could, she helped protect the city from Rikti Invaders.
After the Invasion, Zap Shock stayed within Outbreak to fight against the Infected roaming the streets, and stayed there for a while as a registered hero. However, when she finally heard news about the rest of Paragon and it's trials, she knew she must leave to protect the city. She wishes to make Paragon like her home, peaceful. Zap Shock has recently left Outbreak, and started her work in Atlas Park.
Hel'Dor and her People
Hel'Dor is a planet in another Dimension. As naturally, it followed a severed faction government, like Earth is currently. However, they were able to come together as One World Rule, and join a Galactic Republic. The people are very peaceful, and have succumbed to a Vegetarian Diet, as they have benefited from it greatly.
The Hel'Dorians have the ability to generate a Living Lightning, and most can focus it into Forcefields, which is why Hel'Dor is a peaceful planet, no real weapons. The Hel'Dorians have the ability to fly, just not on Hel'Dor.
Hel'dor is now a barren Wasteland thanks to a Rikti Invasion, and the Hel'Dorians are scattered among Dimensions and Galaxies.
Powers
Lightning
Lisa, as a natural ability of the Hel'Dor, can generate Living Lightning. The lightning, however, feels and hurts like normal lightning, except the fact the Lightning has actual DNA. The genetics in it allow the Energy it drains from their target to be transferred to the caster. The Hel'Dorians used to eat and hunt this way, but civilization formed on Hel'Dor, and their powers went to waste.
Force Fields
Using the same concept of Living Lightning, Lisa can focus her Lightning into Fields of Energy. The Genetics in the Fields allow for a stronger hold than most fields. They even fight back toxic and acids!
Flight
For some stranger reason, the Hel'Dor have the ability to fly, but on their home planet, their Gravity is just strong enough to prevent it. On planets that have lower Gravity, they are able to fly.
