•1920s

1922

September 19: David Williams is born. When he is 5 months old, he is diagnosed with sickle cell anemia.

Late 1920s

•David Williams' childhood is uneventful. Unable to play sports, he grows up a loner.

•1930s

1935

•Williams enters Junior High. He meets Arnold Legerski, a Polish immigrant that will become one of his closest friends.

1937

•Williams meets Melissa Stevenson. They begin dating, much to the chagrin of Arnold.

•1940s

1942

January 5: Arnold is drafted into the war, but does not want to go. Williams enlists under his friend's name.
June 10: Williams learns of the US's Super-Soldier program. He volunteers, but due to his disease, he is denied.

1944

June 6: Williams participates in D-Day, fighting alongside super-powered individuals.
August 15: Williams again applies for the Super-Soldier program, but is again denied.

1945

•The war ends. Williams returns home to find that Arnold and Melissa have gotten together in his absence. In a fit of rage, David kills his friend.
September 7: David is sent to prison. It is there that he meets the mysterious Dr. Mutagen.
October 11: David and Dr. Mutagen plan and enact their escape with the help of an unknown prisoner.

Late 1940s

•Williams goes underground. There is no sign of him for several years.

•1950s

1951

•Williams finally resurfaces as the super-villain "The Bombarder".

1953

•The Bombarder has his first run in with Springfist during a bank heist. Their battle ends in a draw.

Mid 1950's

•The Bombarder does battle with heroes such as Xanatos and Springfist.

1957

•The Bombarder is captured. During the interrogation, the officers find that he has taken the name of his late friend, Arnold Legerski for himself.
