Where He Comes From

Before Prison

Crazy Ate first terrorized the city as a metamorph known as Horrorshow. He was put behind bars by comical hero called Stupidity Man who went on a rampage calling himself Butterknife and attacked villains wearing a hockey mask and carrying a chainsaw. Horrorshow was shown the true meaning of horror when he was nearly killed but found himself in walls of the Zig.

In Prison

In the Zig, the villains were separated into prison blocks based on power type and guarded by a Longbow Warden with matching powers. Warden Shanghi was in charge of this particular block. Horrorshow found himself sharing a cell with an arachnos soldier named Agent Poindexter. Poindexter claimed that he had a psychic link with an arachnos widow named Jethro and that Jethro was putting together a plan to bust him out. Horrorshow had his own idea for escape but his idea would require a diversion. The two discussed their ideas and came up with the plan.

On The Outside

Jethro, as instructed, found a villain known as MonstroMan. This guy is a mad scientist of sorts, with a twist. When he turns into a giant scaly monster, everything he eats is sent to another dimention. Jethro talked him into turning himself in so that he can help Horrorshow escape. He agrees and is placed a few cells down from Horrorshow and Poindexter.

The Escape

One by one, the shapechangers went missing. Warden Shanghi, a shapechanger himself, was reduced in rank and told to turn in his defense missile access codes. As he took his last walk through his block, he took a look at Horrorshow, the only regular shapechanger left, and asked, "How are you doing this?" Those would be his last words on earth. MonstroMan regurgitated the keys to the cells and the access codes to the missiles and handed them to Horrorshow who was now a splitting immage of Warden Shanghi. "I ate all eight of them," MonstroMan said. "There was a problem with my cell-mate. I might have to let him go." Missiles were launched. Heroes were killed. The location of the 8 metamorphs is not officially known but Poindexter and MonstroMan's cell-mate have emerged and have been separately spotted from Crazy Ate, who now claims to be all 8.

Muntant Powers

Crazy Ate is a muntant with the ability to change the molecular structure of his body. In "comic" terms, he is a metamorph, or maybe a shapeshifter. Whatever the term, he can probably do both. To further detail what he can do, he can make his face, body, and clothes look like whoever or whatever he wants. To take this further, if he wants to fly, he can form wings. If he wants to cut something, his hands become knives. To take his power even further, he can even form his body fluids into poisonous gases.

Known Associates

Crazy Ate knows the power of networking. I help you, one day you help me, right?

Shadow Spiders

By chance, Crazy Ate ran into Arbiter Starkweather the day after his prison break. Starkweather told him that his operation with Villains of Paragon City was unsuccessful but that he planned to form the Shadow Spiders. The day recruiting started, Crazy ate was first in line. Since joining the Shadow Spiders, Crazy assisted in the battle that took place in the base of the Empyrean Mandate and helped save Dr. Von Havencrabs when the base exploded with many Shadow Spiders still inside. He also assisted with the rescue operation of Arren Starkweather by boarding the Cephalid and assisted in combat against Black Tie. While trying to immitate Bad Dream, someone called him out on his poor voice impersonations by throwing an exploding shark at him. He morphed into a rubber ball that bounced down the halls of the Cephalid and into an office where he and GI Bob began burning everything in sight. The sub was evacuated shortly after and he carried several wounded Spiders out to safety. Shortly after Starkweather's departure from the Shadow Spiders, the Spiders made a decision to abandon Arachnos and start fresh as its own independent group. The Shadow Spiders have since flourished and have even defeated their former leaders, Arbiter Death and Specialist Otaris in combat.

GI Bob

GI Bob was Crazy Ate's closest ally in Paragon City. Before going to prison, the two caused all kinds of problems. They ran night clubs together and dominated the beer pong scene. Then as Horrorshow, Crazy Ate ended his beer pong career by accidentally exposing himself as a criminal mastermind in an enbarassing defeat by the goofy ninja Stupidity Man as he went on his "Butterknife" rampage. GI Bob was cleared of these charges but later found himself in jail for a DUI and was given "hero work" as community service. Crazy Ate has killed many of GI Bob's probation officers and has revived the identity of Warden Shanghi. Ate, as Shanghi, acted as GI Bob's probation officer, keeping him out of trouble for a long while. That, however, all changed when GI Bob discovered who the Warden was and that he was being blackmailed into standing down in the war between the Shadow Spiders and VoPC. Once Bob told Arbiter Death the truth about Warden Shanghi, Crazy Ate was attacked by a small force of VoPC and was defeated. When he was able to piece himself together he saw the Shadow Spider Lord Anti fighting away the VoPC.

MonstroMan

When everything you swallow goes unharmed to another dimension, you'd make a good ally to anybody. MonstroMan currently keeps several of Crazy Ate's identities hidden away. He is one of very few who knows Ate's true identity. Many people now go through Crazy Ate to get assistance from MonstroMan to get access to his unique power, including most recently Vox Raptor of the Shadow Spiders.

Known Aliases

((Still looking for more stolen shapechanger and non-super identities to have and tell about. If you have an idea for one and want to RP it out, find me in game.))

Horrorshow

Horrorshow was the first and is the true identity of Crazy Ate. His handle is morphing into a show of horrible creatures. He learned to develop his muntant abilities to even morph the bodily fluids and odors that would naturally emit from his body. He could morph into a chainsaw murderer and emit a smell of dried blood and the motor of the chainsaw. He could morph into a spitting cobra and morph his saliva into a blinding, paralizing venom. He could even morph into a master chef and emit the odor of brownies and chicken pot pie. His hands, feet, and spit are all deadly weapons and he knows no bounds. Need to fly? Instant wings. Need to hide? Invisibility.

Zethro

Zethro is a living "power" from another planet that grows other "powers" in a lab and absorbs their life force and abilities as his own. He started off as a power-sapping power but his addiction and thirst for more turned him into what he is. Among other powers, he has the ability to shapeshift but because he is so lacking in street smarts and the way of life of most people on earth, he rarely changes form. He was present during Crazy Ate's prison break and forced him into including him in his plans after somehow filtering the psychic link between Arbiter Poindexter and Seer Jethro. He has himself even stolen one of Crazy Ate's identities, Dr. Charles Hill-Lewis, who died during the prison escape. Zethro considers himself far beyond humans on both a physical and mental level. To him, humans are primitive. He boasts that he cannot be defeated by our technology and proves this by presenting his own superior technology to smash it. He even claims that his race has discovered the "science" behind what humans call "magic" and claims that his race nulified magic nearly 8,000 years ago. For reasons Crazy Ate has yet to figure out, Zethro has decided to single Ate out in his war against humanity. The interaction between the two can look like a game of chess, but Zethro was the first to point this out and claims that Crazy Ate is making all the moves that he wants him to. Zethro seens to be particularly interested in many members and former members of the Shadow Spiders, particularly Timmy Turbulon and Dragon Blades, but Crazy Ate believes he has managed to keep them safe. Zethro has entered the Asgard on many occasions posing as Ate, but was only discovered once and made an escape. According to Zethro, many of its members have powers and abilities that he has been unsuccessful at manipulating. He also touts Ate for putting himself on the same level and, at times, taking orders from magic users. Though Crazy Ate tries to ignore him, he now considers himself agnostic, and thinks that magic users such as Lurid Dawn, Legionbreaker, and even Markel actually use advanced sciences that even they do not fully understand.

Arbiter Poindexter

Arbiter Poindexter is a powerful bane spider who received celebrity status after his prison massacre. Crazy Ate shared in that celebrity status for some time, but is now wanted for crimes against Arachnos. The 2 have not spoken since Crazy Ate personally gave Lord Recluse the side of his hand, but the Arbiter has been rather lazy at finding Ate and bringing him in. Out of respect for his friend, and because of the fact that Arbiter Poindexter has gone public about being alive and a separate person from Crazy Ate, Ate rarely changes into this form.

Warden Shanghi

As stated above, Warden Shanghi was a high ranking Longbow. That all changed during Crazy Ate's prison escape. Warden Shanghi was also eaten by MonstroMan and his identity was preserved by Crazy Ate, however, he is not considered one of Ate's 8. Crazy Ate frequently visits Paragon City as Warden Shanghi.

Mr. Snuff

((Full story still unknown. He is a torturer that makes snuff films.))

D. Glock

((Looks like a thug clown. Thug posse following Crazy Ate were once his men. Full story still unknown.))

Dr. Charles Hill-Lewis

((Zethro's in game alternate costume and identity is played out by both Ate and Zethro. He is one of the few aliases of Ate that is not also a shapechanger.)) He was a scientist who was studying alien technology (not Ritki) when Arachnos decided they wanted to employ him. He refused their offer so they tricked him into going to Paragon and getting thrown into jail. He died during Ate's escape from prison as a result of a missile being fired at the prison where he was being held. Both Ate and Zethro have taken on his identity and have attempted to continue his work.
