Dead Eye Gang

From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe

Jump to: navigation, search

Set in the style of a Wild West gang, the Dead Eye Gang is not your typical villain group. Dedicated to the idea that every member should profit from the gang's criminal enterprises, and have a little fun while doing so, this group means to stand apart as a select team of thugs, thieves, mercenaries, and of course, outlaws.

History of the Gang

The original Dead Eye Gang formed years ago in the depths of Zigursky Prison in the Brickstown area of Paragon City, where the previously deceased old western outlaw Dead Eye Jake was incarcerated. There the charismatic criminal formed ties with several other inmates whose own careers had been lackluster at best. These young punks flocked to the legendary gunman, and when Jake was released from the Zig via intervention from Arachnos, he arranged to bring a few of them along while meeting up with others later in the Rogue Isles.

Leading a life of crime in the City of Villains, Jake gathered and perfected the rest of his outlaw gang, renaming each member with a nickname taken from his earlier life in the old west. The group included Curly Bill, Lame Johnny, the Apache Kid, Texas Jack, Arkansas Tom, and Big Nose George. An eerie supernatural presence, the ghost of a murderous fiend named Charles Morgan, became an ominous addition to the team. Together they followed Jake through many a madcap adventure, forming a cohesive fighting unit that has emerged triumphant over seemingly stronger opponents.

Having planned to do so for years, the notorious bandit expanded the ranks of the gang by making membership open to the public. Jake sought those individuals best suited to the life of an outlaw, such as thugs, thieves, mercenaries, street punks, or anyone else meeting his approval. However, many months after recruiting his first band of misfits, gang membership and activity decreased, prompting Jake to issue a temporary hiatus and close shop for a while. Since then, new incarnations of the Gang have formed and disbanded, leaving only Jake himself and the massive amount of wealth gained from the group's exploits.

Base of Operations

The proceeds of the Gang's various enterprises have gone into the construction of a large mansion in Villa Requin, Sharkhead Isle. While the interior is still being decorated by Alma Young, it boasts a beautifully furnished Old Western saloon.

Becoming a Member

There is no formal process for getting in the Gang. People who want to become members should try to contact Jake for approval. However, as the group is currently defunct, no active recruiting process is in effect.

Affiliates

Due to the nature of the group and its aversion to authority, the Gang rarely allies itself with competing organizations. However, coalitions are possible if the terms are favorable. Currently the group is not part of any coalition.
