Personality
She is very friendly, outgoing, but still a bit naive and unsure when it comes to relationships and love which is something that causes her a lot of problems.When fighting crime, she tends to be a bit rash and rushes forward into battle, sometimes relying too much on her powers to get her out of the situation. This has subsided a bit since joining The Kaotix, but she still does occasionally rush headlong into a group
Powers
Initially unknown to Janet, her mutant gene was latent until the incident that occurred in her lab when she worked for Crey triggered her mutation . She developed extremely enhanced strength, is nearly invulnerable to all forms of attack (except for psionic attacks), and can currently fly at speeds of up to 60 mph.
Super Strength
Janet believes that her enhanced strength is a result of her latent mutation being triggered in the lab incident. She is capable of lifting several tons over her head, and can slam her foot onto the ground and create a short ranged shock wave which can knock down nearby enemies. She can hit enemies with such kinetic force that she can usually knock an opponent off of their feet and onto the ground in front of her; a tactic she uses to defeat them yet preventing them from retaliating.
Invulnerability
Krimsin Hawk is extremely resistant to all forms of damage, except for psionic assaults; whether it is her modified biochemistry leaving her neural receptors more susceptible to mental attack or some other reason is unknown at this time. Her healing rate is enhanced as well, and can heal at a rate approximately 10 times faster than a human.
Healing Device System (Mark III)
The initial design of Krimsin Hawk's HDS Mk. III is based on her teammate Vandrol's Healing Device. The HDS Mk. II took the initial HDS and modified the healing compounds with the experimental healing compound that she designed and portions of her own DNA. She later refined the delivery system to the Mark III system by distributing her healing compound by nanobots initially designed by Dante Andersen (later to be known as DJ Pheonyx) for his nanotech builder system (and heavily modified for her uses). Most recently, it has been further modified to also resuscitate someone with no current life signs if something should happen to their hospital teleport chip.
Flight
Her mutation has also allowed her the ability to fly. Her mutation increased and she now has yellow and red feathered wings which help her fly. Through the use of a special magical spell taught to her by Kaotix teammmate Nezumi-Ko, she can hide her wings from view and even cameras so as not to affect her new career as a model.
Laser Beam Eyes
Janet recently discovered the ability to channel her internal energy (perhaps another ability granted from her mutant gene) into focused beams emanating from her eyes, since her eyes would pulse with energy when fighting crime, she believes this ability is an extension of that emanation.
Character History
Janet Williams was always an intelligent girl and actually started college at age 16, graduating with her PhD in Biochemistry at age 24. Her doctoral thesis earned her a position as a research scientist at Crey Industries, where she worked on a healing compound that would give normal people enhanced healing rates similar to super powered beings like the Freedom Phalanx. A criminal known by the moniker "Frostfire" attacked her lab while she was doing testing on her compound. The chemicals were superheated and the equipment exploded. She was pulled from the burning lab by Infernus Muse and Vandrol, two members of the super group known as The Kaotix. The compound grafted into her skin and actually triggered a latent mutation within her, giving her extreme levels of strength and very high resistance to many forms of damage. When she returned to Crey Industries after the attack, she found that she was locked out of her research due to a legal loophole that made her research Crey property. Furious, she quit her job and decided to register as a heroine.
While tracking down Frostfire, she ran into several more members of The Kaotix and they joined forces to defeat Frostfire. While being questioned by her, Frostfire admitted that he was hired to attack the lab... by her former supervisor in Crey. When she went to arrest him, he had disappeared along with any records or notes of her research. She was offered a position in The Kaotix, and she accepted.
Romantically, she has not done well; she started to date one of the leaders of The Kaotix, Arktos, shortly after the Winter Gala. The Kaotix's enemies, The Ark, had brought in slightly different dopplegangers from the world designated as Praetorian Earth, including doubles of Krimsin Hawk (Ember Hawk) and Arktos (Cheiron). Cheiron tricked her into thinking that he was Arktos and she took him home with her. A week later, when it was revealed to all unknowing parties, the news strained the relationship between Arktos and Krim, Cheiron left The Ark because of his growing feelings for Krim, registering as a hero named Clawson, and Krim was caught in the middle of two men who were in essence the same person but with different personalities.
Krimsin Hawk (or "Krim" for short) is one of the most seen members of The Kaotix, a staple at many shows for The Cape Radio Station, and also helped organize the 3rd Annual White Knights Winter Gala in December 2006 with members of The White Knights and The Angry Angels. She is now being featured in a series of nationwide print ads to promote Max Factor's Super-Natural line of cosmetics, geared to cater to the metahuman community as well as normal consumers. Due to her travels, she is no longer a member of The Kaotix and is now part of First Light.
