Intro
In the infinite cosmos, there are many planes that mirror ours. In one of the darkest mirrors, there is a planet called Aarde. Anyone on Earth could look through this dark mirror and find something almost recognisable, but the visage would be tainted.
In this world, there is a Peregein City, and its hero, Femme d'Etat, must continually defend it from her arch-nemesis, the Lady Recluse, who would bring all the world under the grip of Dystopie. This evil woman would do away with all the goodness of the world; Murder, arson, theivery, rape would all be gone.
Maelthra served Femme d'Etat loyally, fighting against Recluse, but as she looked around, she became discontent with her surroundings. She became a villain, joined Lady Recluse, and turned to trying to actually help people, a crime of which there was none greater. Finally caught and set to be executed for her crimes of constantly helping those weaker than herself, she was able to escape through a portal on Peregrine Island.
When she arrived on our Earth, she immediately went to Lord Recluse to offer her services, but was turned away; Recluse on this Earth was a hero! Instead she turned to Statesman, and now helps spread his evil throughout the world.
Character History
Maelthra was born into a parallel universe almost identical to our own. Her father, the Royal Magister of England foolishly experimented on himself, trying to gain the powers of the dragons, but the effects were not seen on himself. Instead, they manifested themselves on his only child when she was born years later. Born to an English father and a German mother, she was born as someone gauranteed to be viewed as an abomination by everyone. She was born with dark skin, purple eyes, and most damning of all, a long thin almost demonic-looking tail.

Powers and Abilities
Maelthra has gained both increased strength and psychic powers from her dragon heritage. Since she was never actually trained in their use, her powers are more brute force than finesse. However over the long years she ahs lived, she's been able to refine her powers, so that, while they'll never be all they could have been had she been trained at an early age, still make her a formidable opponent.
The dragon blood her father used in his experiments was taken from a Rus, also known as a Horrorwing in her world. Rus commonly terrify their prey into submission, and while Maelthra cannot hope to match a full-blood Rus, most foes in her presence cower before her, or are disoriented by the aura she emits from her mind. At the same time, she can unleash a series of attacks which, due to her increased strength, leave them reeling, unable to form a good counterattack against her.
In large groups of foes she also has the ability to leech their life-force directly from them, recuperating both her strength and stamina, and making her attacks even more devestating.
She also has the ability to force herself into her enemies minds, although not at a very high level, instead the brute force of her mind makes them think she's not even there until she attacks. If she has oppurtunity to prepare, this is the only thing her foes will ever see, if they even get that chance...

In 2007 she married the love of her life, Victoria Vice. Early in 2008, through a magic ritual, she was able to continue her race; her wife bore her daughter, Kaida Vice. Her wife was kinapped and as a result had mental issues for a time. She is currently apparently fully recovered and home with Aurora.
In June of 2008, Victoria, Kaida, and Maelthra's student, Tipsy Brannigan, were killed by the Circle of Thorns. Mael went on a revenge killing spree, decimating many of the Thorns' leadership before finally being calmed and brought to her senses by Vielem, a hero who has since become a close friend.
