S.A.I.N.T.S

Welcome to the S.A.I.N.TS! We are a City of Heroes Roleplaying Super Group.

We're 90/10 on the roleplaying/Out of character talk. If you absolutely must speak out of character, make sure to put double parenthesis around your comments, such as ((afk)).

As a roleplaying group, we prefer that you have a character background or bio in your information. We all appreciate good stories.


We're based in City of Heroes / Gritty underworld Government type setting. (Think Frank Miller does CoH)

We don't require anyone except S.A.I.N.T.S to play in SG mode. If you want to that's great, and it is a good way to earn promotions from within the guild. The only rank that cannot be promoted to is S.A.I.N.T. It takes roleplay and sponsorship by one of the other Members to become an S.A.I.N.T.

Just a few things that you'll need to know before creating your character.

The following is the 'field' costume that all S.A.I.N.T..S will wear on missions:

Height/Weight/Build: There are no real limitations on this but please remember that your character is 12, so make it a fairly accurate representation of that.

Primary Colour: Purple (Third row from bottom, far left) Secondary Colour: Grey (top row, second from left)

Head: This is totally up to the player. The skin colour should fit somewhere in a reasonable range for a human. You may choose to wear a mask if you wish, the colour should be the same as the primary colour for the rest of your uniform.

Chest: Armor Pads with Armor Pads pattern colouring

Shoulders: Small - centre should be purple with grey trim.

Gloves: Enforcer with players own preference for pattern

Belt: Players choosing (colour and style)

Legs: Armor Pads with Armor Pads pattern colouring

Boots: ExoProto with ExoProto pattern colouring

All other costumes slots are totally up to the player. You may make whatever costume you wish. Only the field uniform is mandatory.

Some things to remember when RPing a S.A.I.N.T:

Those are some things to keep in mind. Players are free to work within these boundaries and perhaps even stretch them a little (within reason). No one's RP should be dictated right from the start so feel free to be creative but ultimately keep our background in mind when RPing.

That's a short synopsis of our group. Remember, the most important rule is it to have fun.

History/Back ground

In 1999, the private security firm known as H.A.L.O came under attack via a hostile corprate take over from Crey Industries. Due to the series of disasters plaguing the company, and the ongoing legal proceedings against them, H.A.L.O's stock prices plummeted. By early 2004 H.A.L.O's ruin was nearly absolute. They retained one last major stronghold located in southern Russia. Following Countess Crey's take over , this facility was placed under the leadership of Dr Aon. After several weeks of investigation into the actual reason behind the facility's existence , he discovered the Arc Angels project , a weapon program designed to monitor and eliminate super powers by creating a perfect human specimen, down to the cellular level . This perfection is displayed in a beings mental and physical abilities being the highest possible standard for a human being to be without being considered superhuman. Project Arc Angel was revolutionary is its conception of creating perfect specimen thru gene splicing and cellular manipulation. It was decided that this project could be of great use to Crey Industries , with a little reworking by Dr.Aon focusing more on the creation of living weapons.


Dr Morpheus Duvall was placed in charge of the former Project Arc Angel. His objective was to find a way to take the recently acquired project and make it useful to Crey Industries. Dr.Duvall was initially focused on the utilisation of bioenhancement to upgrade the Project Arc Angels into organic self-contained weapons; these grotesque creations require extensive and expensive maintenance and transportation conditions, so the program was shelved. Although there were many later attempts to recreate or reverse-engineer Project:Arc Angles effects , none are known to have been involved with experiments of Dr. Aon except for the attempt that resulted in the creation of several notable Crey Industry projects . During the tenure of Dr.Duval he and Dr. Aon had several notable disagreements and conflict of ideas over the up and coming projects in Crey Industries . It was during the Dawn Patrol investigation that Dr.Duvall decided that it was paramount to Crey Industries to have reliable and controllable group of Exceptional Individuals. Dr. Duvall was interested in the application of the then shelved Arc Angel project to a group of Crey exclusive meta humans ,designed and focused on apprehending escaped experiments from some of the more private Government contracts being held by Crey. Dr. Duvall took this new project to Countess Crey herself , resulting in a explosive argument between Dr.Duvall and Dr. Aon. Ultimately Countess Crey saw the potential merit in the project and gave Dr. Duvall full funding and backing to begin the S.A.I.N.T.S protocols. This final act was interpreted as betrayal by Dr. Aon who was given no access to the upcoming project

The project was to become something of an obsession for Dr.Duvall who was determine at all cost to not have the repeated failures of his predecessors or Dr.Aon himself. He strove to find the perfect balance to the creation of his meta Human S.A.I.N.T.S . This turmoil would last several months , until the discover of the Section 13 . Section 13 is the smallest storage location of Crey Biotech, and was the housing facility of some 33 recovered bodies of super powers from the notable Rikti invasion. Here Dr.Duvall made his decision to clone the very best of the Super Powered bodies , and splice them together using the Project Arc Angel templates. The idea was to perfect and with the funding from Crey Industries he would have the most powerful of Government superhero groups loyal to him and in turn loyalty to the Countess.Picturecloning2.jpg

Organizational structure

Heaven is located in a high rise office building in Aerie Plaza- Paragon City , with entry through a special elevator to the sixth sub-level of the building. Every person who enters is biometrically scanned and visually confirmed. As a security measure, all three areas of the foundations of the building itself are rigged with C-4 explosives that will go off if the inner vault are breached during a security lockdown or for other contingencies. Fail-safe or lockdown procedures can only be carried out only by Dr. Duvall, using his right index fingerprint; presumably, other Section 13 cells have similar contingency plans.


'Objectives

'

While the infrastructure of Heaven is still mostly a mystery, some of their operations are not. The most evident operation is that of actual field work, sending the S A.I.N.T.S into the public to investigate those individuals who have been deemed "special" by Crey Industries or to retrieve rogue Crey experiments. Upon identification, subjects are neutralized and taken to a Crey Facility of some sort where they are further examined. Upon completion of examination, there are one of five possible outcomes:

Some subjects are tagged at the base of the spine using a pneumatic device which injects a radioisotope for tracking. Some subjects are recruited into a division of Crey Industries , after being tagged with the radioisotope so the Crey can monitor their activities. References are made to other subjects being executed or vivisected. The decision of whether to release a subject or terminate them is apparently at the discretion of higher ups like Countess Crey or Dr.Aon . These subjects are usually terminated because their abilities are deemed too dangerous or out of control. Some subjects are brought into the Crey Industries for research and training and are given support and advice for the use and growth of their abilities. Some subjects are brought in for research and experimentation, based on their abilities.

S.A.I.N.T.S Definition

The Saints are genetic replicants cloned from the altered DNA of the confiscated Heroes in Section 13. All of the Saints retain superior strength ,memory, muscle memory, skills, language , agility, and intelligence.

ANALYSIS The cloning process used by Dr.Duvall from the Arc Angel Project has altered metabolised and enhanced all of S.A.I.N.T.S bodily functions to the peak of meta human potential. Dr. Duvall described this potential as being the next step in meta human evolution. Artificially Enhanced Physiology: Is addition to superhuman powers, although as a result of the Arc Angel Project , all of the Clones have been transformed into "perfect" specimen of human development and conditioning.

▪ Peak Human Strength: S.A.I.N.T.S physical strength was enhanced to the very peak of human potential.

▪ Peak Human Speed: they can run at a speed of approximately 30 miles per hour, and had run a mile in little over a minute (almost 60 mph) when under duress.

▪ Peak Human Stamina: their body eliminates the excessive build-up of fatigue-producing poisons in his muscles, granting phenomenal endurance. They can exert themselves at peak capacity for an hour without rest before showing any signs of fatigue.

▪ Peak Human Agility: S.A.I.N.T.S' agility Is superior to that of any Olympic athlete that had ever competed.

▪ Peak Human Durability: S.A.I.N.T.S' ability to withstand injury is superior to those of ordinary humans. This explained how hey can survive the physical punishment during their careers like building falls and explosions.

▪ Peak Human Metabolism: The enhanced metabolism allowed them to heal from injury or disease faster than humans. . ▪ Peak Human Mental Process:S.A.I.N.T.S' mental performance had been greatly enhanced, allowing all of their minds to operate in the most efficient and rapid manner possible. One manifestation of this is Virgo's and Libra's ability to quickly process multiple information streams (e.g., threat assessment) and rapidly respond to changing tactical situations.

▪ Peak Human Reflexes: They all possessed reaction time near superior to any Olympic athlete that had ever competed.

▪ Peak Human Perception: S.A.I.N.T.S' all have exceptionally keen eyesight and hearing. Dr. Duvall once stated that they are all capable of dodging bullets because they have almost super human reaction times .

Because of the physical condition of the Saints and the respective age at which they are kept they tend to have a almost child like emotional state, however each persona is an amalgam of several actual heroes , and the end result incorporates both strengths and flaws from the template personalities. In between engagements they are kept in a relaxed child-like state and live in a futuristic dormitory/laboratory, a hidden facility nicknamed "Heaven". Heaven is located somewhere in Paragon City and is a subsidiary of a the research group Crey Industries . The actual Saints are all named after various zodiacal houses in keeping with the Project Arc Angel theme .Each S.A.I.N.T is then activated allowing what ever combination of genetic powers a chance to manifest. It has been observed that each S.A.I.N.T is unique and that no two replicants are the same .

Standard S.A.I.N.T.S uniform

S.A.I.N.T Uniforms: is made of Nomex fire-resistant material and lined with triple-weave Kevlar. The suit provides: Excellent Body Armor vs. physical attacks Good vs. energy attacks Built into the cowl in the forehead, between the eyes, and across the throat are trauma plates for extra protection, impact dissipation, and edged weapon attenuation. The suit is electronically cooled and contains: Starlite nightvision lenses that collects & focuses ambient light, permitting normal vision in any are not completely devoid of light A radio receiver/transceiver An audio processor with voice command equipment, A field of view display projector An inertial GPS system The costume also has a taser built into hit, which delivers a Excellent, low-amperage electrical shock to anyone who comes into contact with it. This taser is good for one use before needing recharging.

De-Cel Monofilament Jumpline: Slows user's fall the further he descends. supports 400 lbs indefinitely and 800 lbs for shorter periods.

Launching Grappling Hook: Fires a hook that snaps open after firing and clamps shut once the button at its joint hits its target. Contains 200 ft. of de-cel cord (above). Wall Penetrating Grappel: Fires diamond-bit piercing darts . Contains 200 ft. of thermoplastic line ( can support up to 600 lbs.).

Multifunction Binoculars: Magnifies up to 60 times. Equipped with infrared and limited ultraviolet imaging , as well as frame capture, stop-motion camera, and computer uplink. Can be hand held or attached to the uniform . Fingerlight: Small flashlight that clips onto one finger. Negates all modifiers from darkness. Can project white, red, or infrared light.

Nerveagent Rated Gas Mask: Contains pullout face protector that seals itself over the nose and mouth . Allows for normal operation when exposed to nuclear, chemical, and biological toxins, and all forms of nerve gas.

Conventional Gas Mask: Allows for freedom of operation under exposure to any airborne noncontact toxins. Normally always carried in magazines of six. Rebreather: Provides oxygen for 2 hrs.

Crime Scene Investigation Kit: Contains sample bags, blood-drying bags, fingerprinting kit, odor-analyzing chromatograph, independent detachable video camera. Linked directly to SAINT uniform,and back to Main Network in Heaven.

UPCOMING/ CURRENT/ PREVIOUS STORY ARCS

Also since creation of the AE we can now create opening Missions to go along with specified Story Arc's to add to the over all enjoyment and Resolution of said events. *(I know we all know this but , it helps to have a general reminder to help for consistency.)
