A few thoughts on Stella: Stella is by far one of my oldest and most worked on heroes I played before sunset. I've done some adjustments to her since reboot, but at her core she's still the same.

Friends

Her best friend David - Has been a best friend to Stella for years, and was the one who gave up everything for her to live her dream. One of her friends from high school, Christy - Went to the same high school

Description

Rachel Fawning stands at a menacing eight foot two inches, though menacing is hardly the word to describe her. She has a very youthful looking face, though being that she is only sixteen contributes much to this. She wears a little bit to excessive make-up for someone her age, but she writes this off as just "wanting to look good" should she ever get her picture taken. Her hair is black with many pink top layers that fall about down to her shoulders in straight locks. She has developed quite a few muscles with her "growth spurt" giving her an almost tomboyish figure, though she seems pretty developed in her "other areas" despite her age.

Personality

Stella is an extremely outgoing person, always willing to lend a strong arm for anyone no matter what she is doing. She literally spends all day fighting crime, and protecting everyone she can get to, only to go home and sleep to do it all over again. Stella loves doing this, and doesn't seem to mind at all when someone asks for help (or better, cries out for it). She's just happy to be a Super, but with all of this she doesn't seem to focus on herself much, just on making others happy.

History

Rachel Fawning and David Letrick were always the best of friends. Rachel would eagerly approach him at the first of school, asking him if he had watched the newest documentaries on their favorite super heroes, and end the day asking him how she could be just like them. Rachel was -obsessed- with becoming a superhero, and hardly seemed to notice that David merely took a passing interest in it. This resulted in a few hair brained schemes that usually left David for the worst. It finally got so bad she "promised" that she would never do it again... until that day.

The Circle of Thorns and the Book of Fae Magick

One day while watching the news for recent hero sightings, the pair found a Live scene being broadcasted only two blocks away. Eager to see some heroes dispatch Circle of Thorns cultists up close, Rachel dragged David to the site immediately. They arrived just seconds before the issue was dissolved, much to her dismay. Depressed, Rachel started walking around the scene, kicking at the debris on the street. And this is how she found a very weathered but highly ornate book. Eager to show this to David, she pulled him aside from scene and unveiled her discovery. David didn't seem all that impressed.. but agreed that they'd take it to the library to see what they could discover about it. The library didn't turn out to be much help. Neither did their school teacher that they trusted with it. Nothing seemed to be working, until they turned to the internet. They were only able to translate about a third of the book they found out to be written by fairies or "Fae". A book of spells to be precise. Most of this really didn't interest Rachel, until David read off the one about a transfer of power. Who would guess this would be the spell that would change their lives forever?

The Spell

After sifting through the mumbo jumbo, the spell turned out to very simple. Basically it would transfer the power of one individual to another. There seemed to be no question about how they would go from there, though Rachel couldn't see past her excitement. She would finally be strong, finally be a superhero. So one cold day they took a detour from their normal route home, and took shelter in an abandoned warehouse. Rachel took her time, very carefully setting everything in it's place while David stood in the middle of the circle with his arms folded. He looked skeptical, but Rachel was hardly noticing as she pulled out the book and flipped it open to the printed out paper they had stuck in the middle. She began to read the passage aloud, lighting the candles one by one in time with the proper wording. Just as she lit the last candle, she could feel something going very wrong. It was about the time that her head started hitting the rafters that she began quickly kicking over the candles, attempting to break the spell. She looked down to see that David was no where to be seen, but his leather jacket was there in a heap. She panicked, looking everywhere to see what she could do, just in time to notice that her leg was now on fire.. but it didn't hurt. She dropped to the floor, rolling around trying to put the flames out. This is about the time, with her body on the floor, that she noticed the small tiny form sticking out of the sleeve of the jacket. Gasping she picked up the body, to see that David lay there in a small heap with small little butterfly type wings sprouting from his back. He was completely naked in her palm, but he was still breathing. Without trying to stare, she pulled her backpack over next to her, and fashioned him a small makeshift "suit" out of the sleeve of his leather jacket.

Aftermath

When David finally came to, Rachel explained to him everything that had happened (after calming him down first of course). It took them a few weeks for everything to fully fall in place, but to sum it up not only had David given her his strength, but also his size as well. She had grown to over eight feet, while he had shrunk to barely over two inches. They sought out a professor who had been acclaimed with a large amount of knowledge of the occult and asked him to fully translate their book in hopes of reversing the spell (or at least David's end). To his dismay the spell turned out to be permanent. The professor said he should be thankful though, for had Rachel not stopped the ritual, David would've shrank to nothingness and Rachel would now be a fiery monster. It seemed that not all was lost on his end though, David had managed to make small leakages of power that seemed to empower others further and heal them.

Stella Morte and Thimble

With her new found strength and power of fire, there was no question that Rachel had finally achieved her dream. She carried David down to the Hero Registration Building, and signed her name down as Stella Morte (The name she had picked out if she would ever get superpowers). When she turned to David, he scowled up at her. He didn't have anything picked out, so she turned back to the book and wrote "Thimble" next to his real name. When he asked her why she chose Thimble, she responded with "Because it's small, it's cute, and it suits you."

Jadewire

A few months later, Stella had been walking into the Yellow Line to catch the next tram to her apartment in Skyway City. She looked up to hear a familiar voice, finding that it was Thimble! She pushed off the ground using thermal energies and flew up to him, eagerly chatting and asking how he'd been. He informed her that he's been doing great, and that he even became an officer of a Super Group. Stella asked him about it, and the more and more she learned, the more and more she liked. So finally he invited to her to join Jadewire, a small but friendly team of Superheroes, out saving the world one distress at a time.

Updater

All was going smooth with the group she had joined. She had managed to even become a Specialist, one of their highest ranks. (Thimble still got the highest rank, but that's beside the point) She had been drawing so much attention her way, as her career just started to take off. This is when the Circle of Thorns found out about her. Since they were the ones involved in the book to begin with, they managed to apprehend her.

After several months of being captive, Thimble finally got a lead on her and busted her out. This led to another several months of recovery.

Months of pretty good times passed, David and Rachel grew stronger as the Jadewire grew further from their dreams. Eventually, David and Rachel had lost their common ground with the Supergroup and parted ways.

The Book comes to life

RachL and David had been slowly deteriorating from the spell they had performed. It seemed that it had been translated incorrectly with very drastic consequences. Thimble would have slowly leaked into non existence, where Rachel would have obtained so much energies in the process that she would haven eventually exploded. To rectify this, the pair had contacted a magical user named Ouul who began to research how to rectify the spell.

In order to fix what had been done, they first had to undo the mistakes they made. This meant that they have had the spell reversed and had become 20 year old mortals, still stuck looking 16. David was -taller- than Rachel and neither of them had any powers to speak of. The pair were utterly miserable about the situation, but were took this chance to enjoy things as a non Super and at normal sizes.

Several key factors were brought to light, and preparations were set. With Ouul there to help them, the pair were recreated into their true callings. Their hole had been fulfilled and their destiny could be fulfilled. But during all this they unleashed a much greater evil. Will the pair has what it takes to fill their role in this world?

Searching for More

It had been several months since the book (Papyrus) had been set free into the world. David and Rachel could never be happier to be themselves again, and things seemed to have returned to normal. But that didn't stop the nagging feeling underlying the surface that they both felt. Rachel had done everything she could to avoid discussing this, busying herself with her fashion work as much as she could. It was David who finally approached her on the topic, and stated that they needed to find answers. This came with a difficult decision.

David would search alone.

The reason that this was decided on, was that it was too risky for them to search together. If they were both at the wrong place, they could accidentally unlock the door that would be the end of the world as they knew it. The door -must- not be unlocked. So Thimble convinced Rachel that he would search alone.

It had been months since he left and Rachel did her best to stay happy on the surface. Each day she kept herself busy by attending to the crimes of a bustling city and expanding on the potential leads of her fashion career. But each night she would drift off to sleep with David in her thoughts, wondering what answers he would come back with.

If he came back at all.
