Travern was my first character on Virtue, and I hadn't really planned on using him for RPing originally. His overall personality was based loosely on my own, but he was most influenced by the movie The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, the character Dorian Gray in particular. Travern is my personal favorite of my RP characters, and is also the one I'm best at getting in character as.

Early Life

Chase rarely speaks of his early life except to close friends, to whom he'll tell conflicting stories. This may be due to the fact of how long he's been alive, causing him to forget, or it may just be that he doesn't want to remember his past.

1900's - 1970's

Chase seemed to have moved around often in Europe until the 1900's, during which time he began living in London, England, mainly keeping a low profile. During the bombing of London in World War II, Chase's home was destroyed, causing him to begin moving around again, visiting places such as France, Spain, Germany, and his home country of Italy. He eventually decided to go over to North America, eventually ending up in the Rouge Isles near the end of the 60's or early 70's.

1970's - 2004

Not much is known about Chase's life during this point other than he began setting himself up with a gang and slowly working on building up a small fortune. Chase has said on multiple occasions that he and his gang had fought the Rikti head on at the onset of the first Rikti War, but took heavy casualties, causing his gang to fall into the background once again.

2004 - Present

This is the point in time where the most is known about Chase. He was seen very often roaming around Mercy Island as well as St. Martial, possbily searching for a new base of operations, as well as a point to begin strikes against Arachnos, whom Chase had discovered were part of the reason the Rikti found his original base. Chase has recently begun to settle down, becoming much less violent and also becoming much more cautious in how he handles his personal affairs. He has also begun to gather up a group of vampires, mainly freshly turned, and had begun training them before they eventually disbanded.

Personality

Chase is usually a very laid-back and witty person, feeling quite comfortable in crowds and not caring who's talking to who, coming into conversations he finds interesting. He will rarely go looking for a fight, which seems to mostly be due to a belief that every life has a use, and that it is a waste to take a life. Chase is also at times very defensive of his friends and those close to him, being known to get very aggressive towards anyone who harms a friend.

Fighting Style

Chase generally prefers to let others do the fighting for him, giving support in the form of weakening targets using nether, or even healing his allies. He does, however, also have very powerful melee techniques, and is more than happy to let his fists do the talking, rather than his followers.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Chase, being half vampire, has heightened sense, giving him an extremely good sense of smell, good eye sight, and also increasing his reflexes. Its been noticed that using nether against him does do some damage, but angers him more than harms. One of Chase's main weaknesses is the fact that he can over-exert himself when controlling nether, the most drastic form of this having been seen recently, where he weakened himself to the point of being nearly a rag-doll. Another weak point of Chase is how much he cares for his friends, being willing to sacrifice some of his own strength to save a friend, and also being able to be ransomed if a friend of his is captured.

Chase has only a few people of whom he would consider friends, but he also talks often to a few other people.
