History

Jack Williams was born in Paragon City and lived there all his life. The poor Man had seen it all and what was worse is that it had made him extremely sad. He knew that the heroes were there to protect the city, but it was sad that so many heroes had to be in one city to protect it from the misguided youth who turned their ways to evil and became the bane of the city. He tried to help in his own way. Jack Williams became a Youth Pastor. He worked at an old church in Kings Row and tried his hardest each day. With each child that came in, he steered them away from the path of evil, or at least he tried to. One day a young boy came in, his body sliced and cut to pieces. Wide eyes he asked how this had happened. He had told him that he had become a member of the Hellions and this had been part of the initiation ritual. To his dread he then began a campaign in the areas where the Hellions were most prominent to stop their growth.

This made many Hellions angry and soon Jack had a price on his head. He had just left Kings row and was on his way home is Atlas Park. A place he thought was safe because it was patrolled by Many heroes. Mostly young heroes who were new to the game, but it was enough. Jack had seen one hero that had caught his attention that day. He was a young man, with a clown shirt and clownish looking pants. The boy even had some clown makeup on his face. Jack had to laugh at that. As he was rounding the block, almost home he got hit in the back of the head with a lead pipe. As he hit the ground he looked up. He recognized the scars all over the Hellion's arms, though his face was hidden by a bandana. "Why?" Were Jack's last living words. The last thing he saw was the Hellion raising his arms up and then bringing the pipe down again on his face. Two years later, Paragon City was even more infested with heroes, new gangs, and new villians and villain groups. Jack's wife, unable to take the grief of living without her husband, and having to move from one of the worst places to live, Kings Row, to an even grittier section of Kings Row, leaving his young six year old daughter alone. On the 10th anniversary of his death, Jack woke up gasping for air in his coffin. Everything became so clear. All he could think of was that punk whose life he thought he had saved who had killed him. His very essence became white hot and his coffin burst into flames. He then clawed his way out of the ground. As his uncontrollable rage burned inside his head, he heard words. "Jack... you are my chosen one... Jack... do my will..." Of course, being the good preacher he was, he assumed God was talking to him. He assumed God had given him a second chance. In the hands of the Virgin Mary statue was a small hatchet. He picked it up in his hand and examined it. Jacks rotting funeral Tux then transformed into an outfit like that he had seen on the young hero before he had died. Facepaint and everything.

He found himself headed for Atlas Park, the training place for all heroes. When he ran across a Hellion, his eyes turned milky white and he saw the very soul of the man. It was black as night. He then raised his hatchet and sliced through him. He saw the soul turn white as his axe killed the Hellion. Jack never felt more alive. He even felt himself become stronger. Jack saw himself as doing God's work. He then proceeded to Cleansethe souls of those whom he killed with his axe.

As nearly half a day's work came. He heard a mystic voice calling him to the City Hall. When he arrived there was a man whom he would remember for the rest of his life. A man whom he will forever call friend. Xeno Zangotta, the head of a group of mystics known as the Sect of Arch Magery. Jack joined the sect, hoping that Xeno would be able to help him harness his powers. Xeno spent much time training him, and when time came Jack became one of the council members of the Sect. Jack however felt despite the he had learned all about himself that he could from Xeno, he left the sect. Jack heard of the Ouroboros, and eagerly sought them out. He could give people in the past a chance at his redemption. However it seemed the being keeping Jack alive could not extend his reach far through the portals of time. Jack went into a black hibernation. He was brought back to our time through his portal and left in hibernation for months. He decided for a time to put down his axe. Unfortunately something had other plans for him. It was like an addiction. The axe couldn't be sated and if the axe couldn't, Jack couldn't be sated.

Jack able to commune with his axe, has become suspicious that the real one behind his resurrection was not God. He is now currently on a quest to find out who he really is. He wants to know everything about his past, and who his real master is. He has taken under his belt as of current, two quest. The first and most important is to find his daughter. Second is to find out who is his master. To help in his quest he petitioned to DJ Zero. He asked to open a portal to the afterlife, but unable to do that for Jack, Zero had a better idea. He taught Jack the arts of the bartender and gave him a job at the D. There he could serve drinks, meet people, and attempt to find out who he is.

Upon coming into contact with a soul collector named Shevah while tending at the D, Jack told the tragic tale of wanting to find his long lost daughter. With but a brief description and a list of possible named the creature searched for Jack out of the kindness of her heart. Taken back by this great act, Jack took a chance and is currently dating her. When Jack finally came into contact with his daughter Lily, he found that she had tried to bring him back from the dead, but failed. He now believes that some force used this as a conduit and brought him back. To his terror and grief he has now ruled out the fact that he is a hand of God, though still frequently claims that he is, if not to comfort himself.

Public Opinion

Jack has a very odd public opinion. On one hand he has saved Paragon City multiple times from the likes of Rikti, the Clockwork King, and a pretentious kid mad scientist Fourth Twilight who hatched a scheme to engulf the entire city in the Twilight Dimension. However Jack has shown his willingness to kill criminals. He wields an axe and his enemies have a very low survival rate. The public opinion varies, while most of the more moral super heroes believe that Jack's actions are unacceptable, some people believe that he is taking measures to do what no other hero has been able to; Rid Paragon city of the crime that is constantly plaguing it. He is in the news constantly due to his actions and even now have a weekly section on the news channel Jacks Victims this week. Because of his actions he was recently contacted by Vanguard where he is payed alongside several heroes to kill Rikti, but also the Vanguard have established a crew of him and a few other heroes to take a re-engineered Rikti spaceship and pilot it to a supposed Rikti base hidden on the dark side of the moon. Unbeknownst to Jack his fellow crewmates are also heroes who have fallen out of grace in the public eye, and a few villains.

Friends

Jack has made many friends along his journey and surprisingly very few enemies Kyonak: Jack considers Kyo his best friends. He met the guy while tending the bar at the D. They have a friendly rivarlry. While Kyonak wants to fight Jack for fun, Jack would rather just a buy a couple of beers and see who can stand the longest without getting drunk. Since both of them are immune to alchohol however it just turns into a friendly drink-fest.

Dr. Kazz Jack's second best friend. He finds comfort in having another person who is dead around. The two often sit around talking while Kazz asks Jack to cut off body parts to scare random people. Jack is incredibly honored that Kazz would ask Jack to be the preacher at his wedding. Jack has eagerly accepted though he's planned a few mischevious things to say to the bride and groom while marrying them.

Lady Abigail He didn't know her very well at first, but now that's he gotten to know her better he's found quite a good friend in her. Again he finds comfort in another person who is dead like him. He finds himself able to confide a few things in her, that he cannot others because she seems to have some understanding of the incredible burden that Jack covers himself in.

High Jinks He casually met Jinks in the D and they started talking because they were both clowns. Jack likes to have clown-offs with Jinks and just mess with his head by dressing up like a mime. He finds Jinks a little hard to get through too, but hell ya gotta love another clown.

Toy Blaster He knows Toy from side conversations, but he considers Toy a friend. He's even helped Toy out with a few favors.

Mercy.Killing He doesn't know Mercy that well, but still considers him a friend. Though the big guy seems intimidated by him, Jack isn't afraid to give the old alien a push if he has too. Jack has even gone so far to heal Mercy's soul at Toy's request without so much of a second thought.
