Lesson of the day: "'Trools' are called trolls. And future-aliens cuss funky."

Zeta Silver - "We've got some trools to beat on."

Shade Girl - "What the sprokk is a trool?"

Zeta Silver - "What the sprokk is a sprokk?!"

Zeta Silver is Akutenshiizero's second character. He was created with the purpose of playing a more light-hearted, innocent character. Zeta Silver was origionally intended as a villain in a manga series idea created by the player. The manga was to be titled "Metal Soul" and the protagonist was meant to be a female android named Sigma Platinum. While child-like in nature, the character willl grow, evolve, and mature with time through a combination of leveling and roleplay.

Personality

Zeta Silver is curious about damned near everything. He has an insatiable hunger for knowledge, and being dropped in the middle of Paragon was like leaving a kid in a candy store. He is most curious about himself, as he has no idea what his own capabilities are. Unlike some androids, Zeta posesses a full range of emotions. Generally he is upbeat and freindly, though he becomes dead-cold serious in combat. He fights to learn, but more recently has taken on a new veiw of justice. The greater good has become his entire life, every fight bringing a little more peace to the people of Paragon City. While his creators have warned him not to get too involved, Zeta has none the less pledged himself to the cause.

History

Before Paragon City

Zeta was activated January 1, 2000. This was intended to commemorate a new age in human history. He was "born" as an infant, and grew at a rate of roughly 4 times human speed. His aging process halted at the apparent age of his early 20's, and he has not changed since. He grew even faster in intellect, learning up to middle school level by his second year and college level by his fifth.

There is not much to be said of Zeta's life, as it is short and took place largely behind closed doors. Only recently has he been sent to Paragon to further himself. His creators intend to monitor his progress and possibly begin mass-producing Zeta models for military use.

Battle in the Hallows

It wasn't long before Zeta found himself thrown headfirst into the thick of combat. After a few missions for D.A.T.A., Zeta was sent to aid in the ongoing battle of The Hallows. Dumbfounded by the sheer power of the foes there, Zeta was hesitant and unsure of his abilities. He was approached at the defensive line by Hightime and Shade Girl. Hightime, a fellow nanotech user, seemed ready and willing to help the young android. Upon seeing the time-travelling alien Shade Girl, Zeta unwittingly made a few sexist comments. Shade challenged Zeta to compete in their missions, and he reluctantly accepted. Through their battles, the three have grown to work well as a team and Zeta's power has grown exponentially. The scientists at D.A.T.A. showed great expectation for his development very soon.

Realization of Power

By the time he upgraded his Security Level to ten, Zeta had progressed greatly. He had matured a quite a bit after so much exposure to the world, but the real suprise to him was his development physically. His power spiked while fighting alone in Perez Park, and he spontaniously transformed mid-combat. Zeta rushed back to D.A.T.A. for a full diagnostic, and it seemed this was what his creators had been waiting for. The armor which had formed over him was known as "Fighter Mode" and was a milestone in development. Zeta now fights with renewed vigor, anxious to unlock more of his mysterious powers. His new-and-improved form turned out to be neccessary to his continued quest. While hunting Clockwork drones in Kings Row, Zeta came across a building site where the mechanids were preparing an assault. With a quick broadcast to the local heroes, the war-zone erupted forth. Zeta is proud to have done his part and rallied his fellow heroes to destroy the Paladin before it could begin it's rampage.

A Place to Belong

Zeta had hit a rough spot in his training, his power was increasing but his duties were becoming more than he could handle. Having lost contact with his allies, he fought alone against the odds. After another unfortunate defeat against the Trolls, Zeta decided to return to D.A.T.A. for more testing, hoping he could find a better method of combat. Upon entering Atlas Park, however, he caught a broadcast from Quick Slick seeking members for a new Super Group. With the hope of finding new allies, Zeta contacted Slick to enlist in Young Freedom. With new freinds and new opportunities, Zeta continues his quest for strength and justice.

The Omega Plague

In an unfortunate turn of events, Young Freedom eventually fell apart, and Zeta vanished from the superhero community for quite some time. It was then that an unusual virus broke out across Paragon, transforming those infected into Techno-Organic monsters. Zeta was unaffected by the virus, and word reached him that his old freind Hightime had made a stand to combat the threat. He decided to follow suit, reuniting with Hightime in the middle of a fierce battle with his nemesis Ironn, empowered by the plague. With Zeta holding the last cure, the two fought off Ironn and purged him of the plague. However, the battle left it's mark on both of them. Hightime's nanomachines began malfunctioning, and Zeta nearly lost his old freind. Zeta himself now feels a change to his biometallic structure, perhaps a lingering effect of his exposure to the Omega Plague. With more questions and no answers, Zeta can do little but continue to fight in hopes of someday understanding his own power.

Metal Souls

While most information about Metal Souls is top secret, Zeta has spilled the secrets in his child-like way. Apparently, an alien relic was found in Japan over fifty years ago. This relic bore markings and design similar to the unusal Jomon-era, and have been determined as the source of this mysterious period of history. The alien, called "Relic-J" or "Alpha Gold", was found in suspended animation set in a throne and likely was worshipped as a god. It was excavated and studied, giving birth to the Metal Soul project.

Alpha Gold was clearly mechanical, yet it's material bore bother metallic and organic properties. This allowed scientists to "clone" the alien. The first, known as "Beta Bronze", was a failure. The model apparently went berserk immediately after activation, killing most of the scientists. It's current status and location are unknown, but it was never destroyed or removed from the compound. Several models were produced and tested, each one showing more potential than the last. Zeta Silver is the most recent, and likely final, model to be created.

As living machines, Metal Souls hold a full range of emotion as well as free will. Post Beta Bronze models were created with a built-in limiter to control them. Each progressive model had a weaker limiter until a perfect balance was achieved. Zeta is aware of his limiter, and dislikes the way it controls his freedom and powers. Should he become too strong or too emotional, the limiter will deactivate him automatically. Zeta claims he has a true soul, and says the limiter feels like a chain wrapped around it.

Fighter Mode

Zetasilver2.jpg
A major milestone in the development of Metal Soul androids is known as "Fighter Mode". Normally, Metal Souls are visually identical to human beings. However, with enough power output their bodies are capable of morphing into this armored combat form. While in Fighter Mode, a Metal Soul's abilities are enhanced and their combat ferocity increases incredibly. As each Metal Soul model is unique, each has a differant armored form and differant abilities along with it. In the case of Zeta his gift is of flight, and thanks to a Raptor Pack lent to him by the PPD he has learned how to control himself at full speed. However the occasional crash-landing is still an issue. While unnecessary for his transformation, Zeta has made a habit of calling out "Henshin! Fighter Mode!" when activating his armor. This is likely due to the fact television was his only window to the outside world while growing up in Japan, and he was an avid fan of tokusatsu shows such as Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.

OOC Notes

- The personality of the character is loosely based off Jan/GekiRed of the Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger series. Though it can also be said he is Gir (Invader Zim) and Johnny 5 (Short Circuit) thrown into a blender. He's just plain crazy.

- The Claws/Regeneration combo was made to emulate the origional manga concept of arm blades and nanotech. It wasn't until level 4 that the Wolverine connection was made. At this point, it is possible to change to a katar weapon, which would be more true to the origional concept. However the claws have become a signature to Zeta, and alteration would create issues with RP.
