Agent Arcanum
From Unofficial Handbook of the Virtue Universe

- F.B.I.
Personality
Agent Arcanum is quiet and reserved, maintaining an air of professionalism he learned in his early days of law enforcement as part of the F.B.I. He is evasive and distant when it comes to answering personal questions. Though he comes off trying to preserve his man of mystery schtick, some say he may no longer know who he truly is himself.

Powers
The source of Agent Arcanum's powers is unknown. He exhibits an otherworldly power to cloud the minds of men, move objects with his mind, and even touch their souls. When asked whom he serves, Arcanum claims to be a mystic who answers to a power higher than any government or organization.
Firearms
In spite of his mystic powers, Arcanum still finds himself grounded in the world of men and falls back on his old skills gained from his time serving in the F.B.I. As such, he carries a .38 revolver and an old fashioned tommy gun to put him on equal footing with his Mob adversaries.
Mental Manipulation
Arcanum has displayed limited telepathy, telekinesis, and other talents often associated with psychics. However, he maintains that these powers are mystic in origin, though he does not divulge how he came to possess them.
Teleportation
Little is known of his ability to appear where trouble is, but it is assumed to be similar to standard teleportation possessed by other super powered beings. Arcanum can also transport others to his location.
Fitness
Perhaps as a result of his connection to mystic forces, Agent Arcanum's body does not age nor does he tire as easily as an ordinary man would.
Character History
Official records concerning Agent Arcanum's connection to the Federal Bureau of Investigation cannot be located (or perhaps divulged to public scrutiny). However, he clearly possesses intimiate knowledge of the agency's inner workings and procedures --even if his knowledge seems a little dated at times. It is believed that he disappeared approximately fifty years ago while investigating Family activity somewhere in the Independence Port area, perhaps having left the earthly dimension altogether. Upon his return, he possessed new abilities that he found quite useful in his never-ending war on crime. Arcanum refuses to discuss his past, often making cryptic statements before teleporting away. He attempts to work with local law enforcement officials, but even claims a higher jurisdiction when in the presence of the F.B.I.
