Matthew Keller was born under the appearance of an average child; dark hair, brown eyes, and dark skin accredited to his (assumedly) partial Italian lineage. Then, at the age of eighteen months, a peculiar thing started to happen: His hair began to turn white, and strange blue markings began forming on the left side of his face. His parents had no idea what to make of it, and they went to see their doctor. Neither him, nor anyone else they consulted knew what to make of it. It wasn't until a few months later when white, feathered wings began growing from his back did his parents make a conjecture as to what it was. They claimed that he was an angel, and people believed them. From miles around, people came to see the angel and have his blessings.

This did not last. At the age of four, his parents claimed to have seen a sign from God that Matthew was to be a warrior, enforcing God's will. Day in and day out, Matthew studied and trained to be the perfect warrior to enforce God's will through force - that is, if those he was sent out to fight did not agree to change peacefully. His parents were harsh and didn't allow him outside of the house to see or play with the other children. The only days they allowed him to rest were Sundays, and a few hours on his birthday. Over the course of a few years, he discovered new abilities that he possessed, among which were an ever-increasing durability and strength.

Matthew disobeyed his parents twice. That was all it took. As punishment for disobeying them, his father would cut through the flesh and even partially through bone on his wings near where they connected to his back. Even with his durability and pain tolerance, this was something Matthew could not ignore. When his father cut into his wings, it was more than physical pain; it felt like his father was rending his soul, almost tearing it from his body. In the end, the only thing that probably stopped his father from completely removing his wings was the belief that he was an angel.

Through his almost ten years of training, he learned to become an effective and deadly warrior with his knowledge as well as his other abilities. Despite their cruel treatment of him, he was prepared to face all but the darkest demons of Hell.

It has been recently discovered that Cado, along with his brother Terarch, are two sons of the Archangel Michael. (( Do not criticize. I'm aware that technically angels can't procreate. For the moment, I'm leaving the how and why blank until it's been established through RP. ))

Affiliations
