The Player
My name is David. I've been playing City of Heroes for 6+ years now. I'm 21 years old and have been playing and roleplaying on Virtue for 3+ years. Before Virtue, I was on Liberty, but I fell in love with roleplaying and I've never looked back.
I basically started roleplaying on City of Heroes. I'm not sure what prompted the change, but I know that it was the right thing to do. I have done roleplaying through other mediums, but it was primarily through Virtue on City of Heroes. Now that City of Heroes is closed down, I've been seriously deprived of roleplaying opportunities. I've played Champions Online, The Old Republic, Star Trek Online, and some of Neverwinter Online since the closing of City, but the roleplay is scarce if it even exists.
I love to write. Not only do I love to write, but I'm good at it, and I'm not the only one who thinks so. I'm not sure if my love of roleplaying started because I like to write, or if I like to write because of my love of roleplaying. Hard to say. I have numerous stories currently in-progress and a million more floating around in my head.
I'm a big video game fan. Like... really big. The first games I ever remember playing were Sonic 2 and Road Rash II for the Sega Genesis when I was three. Both games remain as two of my very favorite games of all time, even though I no longer own the games or a Sega Genesis. I also love the Mass Effect games as well as the inFamous games. I won't go naming all of my favorite games because there's a lot, but I do have a gamer reputation amongst my friends.
Music is also very important to me. I was relatively sheltered as a child as far as music goes, but I like to think I've caught up in the past few years. I listen to music while I'm playing City of Heroes and I have for years. Music inspires me, the band Rise Against in particular. Go check them out if you haven't already. My other favorite bands are Chevelle, Middle Class Rut, The Black Keys, and Clutch, but there's way too many others to list here.
