Personality

Overall, Kate is easy to get along with. She's a very social and open person. But, if you hurt her on purpose, she won't hesitate to bring the hammer down. As such, she's a very emotional person and gets easily attached to people, which it makes all the more difficult for her when she loses someone she cares about. With her open and social nature, some people may confuse her actions towards people - specifically Jo - to be hinting at more than just friendship, but the truth is she's just very friendly with her good friends.

Outside of her armor, Kate is a very kind and gentle woman, but inside it, she's a very capable, deadly force to be reckoned with

• Armor - Titanium alloy armor laced with Impervium in vital areas, such as the chest, thighs and neck. Lightweight and strong, able to absorb up to 750 pounds of force without serious damage to Kate, however, the higher the force, the more likely she is to receive bruising or fractures
• Power Gauntlets - The primary means of attack for Kate while fighting. With generators within her gloves, she's able to generate massive amounts of force that she can concentrate into a blast or even further concentrated into her fists
• Power Shields - The primary means of defense for Kate while fighting. These shields are created via various smaller generators inside her armor, and are able to absorb impacts up to 1,000 pounds of force without compromising the shield or damaging the armor plating underneath. It also absorbs massive amounts of radiation, heat, cold, electric current, ultraviolet rays, and protects from EMP blasts
• Flight Boots - Worn on her feet, the primary function of the boots is for acceleration and deceleration, but also help with lift
• Artificial Wings - Attached to her back, the primary function of the boots is for flight stability, but they also help with lift
• Blast Helmet - Extra reinforced helmet to protect the most vital part of Kate's body. She can also switch on an enhanced hearing mode as well as an echolocation device, in case anything should ever happen to her eyes
• Spectrum Visor - Through various settings, allows Kate to see in different lights, including ultraviolet, infrared, nightvision. It also has telescopic and microscopic functions. It also provides targeting functions for the weapons on her suit and is able to log into databases (that she can access) including the internet. The visor also controls speed and direction of her flight
• Filtration Mask - A mask that filters toxic fumes, including tear gas as well as smoke and airborne poison or diseases. It also has voice-changing capabilities
• Index Laser - A laser on the end of each index finger, able to be set to two settings via her visor: "Lethal" and "Stun"
• Shoulder Guns - Underneath each shoulderpad is a different weapon: A minigun under her right and a .50 caliber weapon under her left. The weapons generate an invisible field just millimeters away from the barrel that lets Kate change the type of round fired (incendiary, chemical, etc.). She's thankful that she's never had to use either of those weapons
• Glove Armaments - For tougher enemies, she has heavier weapons that emerge from her gauntlets. On her right is a grenade launcher and on her left is a rocket launcher. Like the shoulder guns, they generate an invisible field millimeters from the respective barrels that can change the type of round fired. Also like her shoulder guns, she's thankful she's never had to use them
• Leg Storage - Functions much like pockets, but they pop out in several places to allow her to put various, small items in
• Last Ditch Effort (LDE) - Through a special code sequence, Kate can bolster her suit to be larger and more powerful at the cost of speed and mobility. She also sacrifices ranged attacks and it drains the power in her suit heavily
• Failsafe - Should the armor become too compromised, a failsafe activates, ejects Kate via a teleportation system and self-destructs

Past

Katelyn Jaye Summers was born on February 6th, 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was the second of three children. Her older brother, Daniel Leon Summers, was born on April 18th, 1988 and her younger brother, Ryan Carson Summers was born on November 16th, 1992.

While growing up, she was always curious about her father's past line of work. He had been a once well-known tech hero in Paragon City by the name of Gigawave. Every week, she had her father tell her stories of some of his adventures. Of course, until she was older, he took out some of the more frightening details.

This carried on throughout Kate's life in Phoenix. Her father kept telling her stories and he eventually started teaching her what he knew about technology. For the last three to four years of her life at home, they worked on a project together; a set of bracers that would transform into a full power suit.

Kate had always been a busy girl; there was hardly ever a time where she did not have a lot of things going on in a short amount of time. One of her favorite activities was cooking. She started making food at about the age of six. Over time, she got better and better with her cooking and recipe-making. In fact, she's known among her friends as making the best snickerdoodles. Her recipe for these cinnamon cookies is a secret known only to her and it took her years of practicing and experimenting for her to get the recipe she has now.

She had also grown fond of the outdoors. Some of her most memorable experiences took place on hiking or camping trips or even just sitting at the park with her dog.

Growing up with two brothers was a challenge for her. A lot of times, she would have to fend for herself against her brothers, one of whom - Daniel - was much bigger than she was. There were times when Ryan and Kate would get together to try and take down Daniel. Normally, those plans didn't work too well.

When Kate was six, they got a black labrador puppy. Danny had been studying Ancient Egypt and suggested Anubis.

After twelve years, Anubis passed and they got a new husky puppy and, keeping up with the Egyptian theme, named him Rameses, Ram for short.

" Kate's a really nice girl, I'm actually really glad I met her. Though, I'll admit we sometimes don't see eye to eye, we've also stuck together through some of the tougher problems life throws at us. I think she tends to be a little overly emotional at times, but her intentions are good, and she has a pretty good head on her shoulders, when she wants to use it.
