Appearance

James stands at about 73 inches (6'1") and weighs approximately 180 pounds, making him smaller than his father but larger than his mother in both respects. He received his mother's darker skin tone and his father's face. His hair is a mix of both his parents', a dark brown. Due to his training, work-out schedules, and his work as a hero, he possesses a lean and muscular build.

Despite his regenerative abilities, (see below) he possesses a few physical scars upon his body. The most notable of which is scarring circling near where his right arm meets his chest. The scarring would suggest that his right arm had been reattached - and it was true. His right arm was now completely cybernetic. Very few people know about his second set of scars, which rest upon each forearm, appearing to be magical symbols carved into his skin. While in public, he always keeps his forearms covered, and many times even while he's not in public.

Personality

When James first arrived in this timeline, James was kind, considerate, and respectful. He wouldn't hesitate to offer positive encouragement and he often took things lightly. However, his time here has made him jaded and bitter because of how he sees people have treated him. In his eyes, he feels he's done enough to earn the respect of people around him, but (in his eyes) he's not getting it. By no means is he a selfish person, but even the selfless types need recognition sometimes.

At the moment, he's unsure what to do about his predicament. He's not sure whether to stay in the timeline he's in and adopting a slightly new persona, or to truly seek out a way to get back to where he came from. Time will tell...

Powers

James, like his father, uses nanites. However, his nanites are different than his father's. Instead of using a nanite replicator that's placed at the base of his spine, James creates his nanites naturally as if they were normal cells within his body. This gives him an advantage over his father in numerous ways. While Casey might face trouble from people trying to pull his nanite replicator out of his body, James would not; he would have no such device in his body. And, he does not need to worry about people who communicate/control technology (such as Jordan Murphy), as the nanites would register as biological instead of technological.

However, James has many of the same abilities as his father, including the ability to project his nanites in a fashion that may allow him to create a body suit or weapons or to "eat", repair, or create objects. Also, like his father, his nanites give him regeneration. Whether or not it's as powerful - or possibly even more powerful - as his father's regeneration, that remains to be seen.

And, although it wouldn't be actually listed as one of his powers, he's a skilled swordfighter, rivaling his mother on many occasions back in his home timeline.

Faith - Faith and James have had a very complicated relationship. They'd been close since they were babies. Their parents were friends and they were all in the same line of work. Her mother having passed away, Faith decided to send herself back in time to when she had both parents. James, 16 years old at the time, and having romantic feelings for Faith, decided to go after her. It was his hope to bring her back, but he ended getting stuck there, just like she was. The two didn't spend much time together when he got back, and they eventually didn't see each other at all. James harbored no small feelings of resentment towards her for it, and the wound festered for years.

Recently, however, they were brought together again. Perhaps it was fate, or perhaps it was meddling parents. Either way, after ranting at her, telling her exactly how she'd made him feel all those years ago, things got better. He felt better. With the wound finally closing and his anger subsiding, he saw that he didn't hate her. In fact, he came to realize that he still loved her, even after everything. They reconciled.

She made it clear that she felt the same way, and started dating. James wouldn't have it any other way. For the first time in a long time, he's found something that truly makes him happy. After becoming engaged in May 2020, they were married on July 5th of the same year, in a fairly small ceremony with their close family and friends.
