The Targets:
- Strikeshadow - A young martial artist melded with a Nictus. Is of Interest to Tanshin because of his relationship to Madeline Xion.
- Tanshin - The last surviving Ninja with real ties to the Blue Mist Clan.
- Xan Kelestis - A young healer with wings who lives in the Rogue isles, Xan seems bitter against the rules he's grown up with; and so seems determined that Arumi should fight against the laws of her people.

On the surface Arumi is honorable, obedient and disciplined. However, a life time of being treated as a defect by her own clan has made her slightly bitter; she can be prone to sarcastic or rebellious fits when her self-control slips.
Character History
The story of the Drifting Petal Clan
The Drifting Petal Clan is one of several enigmatic Ninja Clans that has roamed from the far east into the Isles, and eventually Paragon City as well. Like most Ninja groups, they aren't overwhelming in numbers. Outsiders know very little about them, they live in a world along-side the mundane streets of Paragon City, hidden in the shadows of alley ways and bordellos. What is common knowledge to the rival Clans at least, is their legenday skill with poisons. The Ninja of the Drifting Petal Clan are as skilled in seduction as fighting, and poisoning their targets is their most popular M.O. It is less publicized among the rival Ninja, but still well known, that they kidnap and drug members of enemy clans. The men they enslave, while the women they entice to bear their children, and then kill.
- What is less well known is that the Drifting Petal Clan has toyed with poisons for so long that their bodies are toxic from the moment of conception. Their blood, their saliva, even their tears are drugs that can heal you, kill you, or send you into the deepest sleep of your life. Almost entirely unknown to anyone out side of the clan is the effects this toxicity has on child birth. Women of the Drifting Petal Clan are almost never able to safely conceive. This means they must turn outside their clan to reproduce. However, the infants themselves are toxic, and the mothers themselves never survive their poisoned childbirth.
