Barbelitha has only recently discovered her demonic background and her human side is still the most dominant aspect of her character.

Barbelitha is first and foremost a Superteam build - she's not very effective solo, but with the rest of her supergroup she is well nigh unstoppable - after five nights of play for an average of 3 hours, I've made 25th level. Lately, however, she's developed some interesting role-play potential so I might play her more outside of the supergroup.

Summary

"When momma was mad at me she used to say I had the devil in me. I just thought she was being mean on account of pop having left us. Then I found the meteorite momma tried to hide from me. The small green meteorite she tried to throw away or sell at least a dozen times, but never could . . .

Momma could be mean sometimes, but I always new she loved me. If I hadn't shown her that meteorite, she never would have gone crazy, and maybe I never would have grown these horns and these wings. I would've stayed normal, with momma.

When they put her away in the mental hospital I was placed in foster care. No matter where they put me, nobody gave a damn. Then I started to change. One of my foster parents tried to exorcise me. After that, I decided I was better off on my own, so I ran away to Paragon City, where you can be a freak and no one will notice. I never expected to be called a hero . . ."

Powers

Barbelitha has the usual innate powers of a half-demon, but her transformation has occurred only in the last year, and she is yet to discover the real extent of her abilities. She has recently sought out the guidance of La Diablesse to learn more about her demonic nature.

Fire Control

Barbelitha's demonic heritage has given her power over elemental fire.

Radiation Emission

Her exposure to the sinister energies of the glowing green meteorite somehow synergized with her natural control over fire, and she has learned how to tap the transdimensional source of sentient and malevolent radiance that the meteorite originally crystallized from after being shunted into our universe by some string of cosmic chance.

Personality

In combat Barbelitha is very confident, and takes great pleasure in charring and irradiating everything in sight, which can sometimes prove a nuisance to her teammates when she gets carried away and aggros mobs at the edge of her range. Nevertheless, she manages to contribute to the Fiery Heroines despite her impulsiveness and relative lack of experience.

However, privately she's the opposite of what you might expect from the spawn of an incubus. She is shy, generous, humble and honest by her human nature. When she came to the City of Heroes she thought she was just going somewhere where people wouldn't label her evil. She never expected to be recruited by Volcanic Guard of the Icon's Fiery Heroines. The fact that several psychiatric screenings later she was registered with Freedom Corps surprised no one more than her.

Nevertheless, the dark whispers she's been hearing since she found the meteorite are getting clearer, and they have begun to awaken darker passions in her, passions she does not yet understand and greatly fears. For this reason she has sought out the leader of the Succubi di Diablo, La Diablesse, in the hopes the somewhat notorious demoness can explain more about her nature, and perhaps even help her find her true father. . .
